Welcome to Guneaux Designs!! Today’s card share is an Inlaid Blue Poinsettia Christmas Card. This card is identical to yesterday’s except this one includes blue poinsettias. I love that poinsettias come in various colors, and other than the typical red, I love the blue poinsettias. I like this card better than yesterday’s card.
“Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.”
Happy Saturday!! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving if you live in the United States! Thanksgiving is a lovely time of the year to stop regular activities and give thanks for our blessings. I had a wonderful time with my family that I love so much!
I took time today to create a card for an Inspiration Challenge on Splitcoaststampers. Every Saturday the hostess for the challenge selects a website from which to draw inspiration and create a paper project. The site selected for today is The Company Store. I selected THISbeautiful Star Wreath Holder as my inspiration piece. Because of the upcoming holiday, Christmas, I immediately thought of the Star of Bethlehem when I saw this item. My next thought was the star stamp within the Hero Arts Monthly Kit for November 2017. Therefore, that star stamp image is the focal point of my card.
Matthew 2:1 & 2
“After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him.”
Hero Arts monthly kit for November contains a lot a fantastic crafting products. A photo of the kit’s contents is below the photo of my card and scripture of my post. Unfortunately, the kit sold out as fast as it was posted as being available. But that is the norm for these kits.
I used the bulb stamp from the kit as the main feature for my card. I stamped and decorated three of them for the card.
Matthew 22:37-40 (The Greatest Commandment)
“Jesus replied:‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
Every Saturday, the Splitcoaststampers site has an inspiration challenge. Yesterday’s challenge showcased the Agraria San Francisco website. I selected the Lavender and Rosemary group for my inspiration, and this is the card I made using the Heartfelt Creations Sparkling Poinsettias stamp and die.
I’m not sure that it can be seen in the above photo, but I started my card by stamping two Holly Strips with Golden Glitz Pigment Ink down the center of the lavender panel. This was to represent the strips of a gold design in this picture. It is obvious in the photo below.
Matthew 12:25-28 (Jesus and Beelzebub, the Prince of Demons)
Jesus healed a demon-possessed blind and mute individual and was criticized by the Pharisees who said that Jesus could only cast out demons by Beelzebub, the prince of demons. “Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them,“Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand. If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand? And if I drive out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your people drive them out? So then, they will be your judges. But if I drive out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.”
I have for you today a card made with the Penny Black On The Lake stamp. Penny Black makes gorgeous stamps, and I have had this stamp for many months and not used it. I was not sure if I could make a nice card with it. I decided to take a chance and see what I could create with it. I think I made a beautiful card featuring the Penny Black On The Lake stamp.
I wanted to use fall colors to create the card, so I used several Stampin’ Up!’s (SU) inks (i.e., pads and markers).
Jesus said:“I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy: nothing will harm you. However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”
