Hero Arts Fairy Window

Hero Arts Fairy Window

It is with great pleasure that I create this card in honor of this week’s Featured Stamper on Splitcoaststampers (SCS).  Vicki (Hawaiian) is the Featured Stamper, and she has a remarkable SCS gallery.  Should you check out her gallery, you will notice that she loves to create fairy cards.  Thus, I selected this beautiful fairy card of hers to CASE.

John 14: 23 & 24

“Jesus replied, “If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching.  My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.  He who does not love me will not obey my teaching.  These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.”

The similarity between Vicki’s and my card is the fairy and dandelion images (seed heads on front and dandelion inside card).  I tried to incorporate colors for my background that closely relate to the background of her card, however, I could not stop adding ink, and the rest is history.  LOL.

I used various Hero Arts Distress, Reactive Ombre’, and Distress Oxide Inks to create the background.  I blended the inks with the Life Changing Blender Brushes.  Wow, they are as the name suggest.  It is amazing how much easier it is to apply and blend inks.  Picket Fence Studios is not paying me to say this. 😂

I used the Hero Arts Fairy Window Fancy Die to cut the fairy frame from black glossy card stock.  I wanted the fairy frame to be glittery so I covered it with Glass Bead Glitter Gel.  Upon drying, I attached it to the background, added some stamped dandelion seed heads and Hero Arts Moonshine Confetti Mix.

In the following close-ups, you can see more details of the fairy frame (e.g., the fairy, butterfly, dragonfly, bird, etc.)
