Card Made With Heartfelt Creations Botanic Window

Card Made With Heartfelt Creations Botanic Window

Welcome to Guneaux Designs.  My project share today is a card made with Heartfelt Creations Botanic Window Die.  I love the Botanic Window Die as it can be used to create various styles of windows and well as non-window projects (i.e., ornaments, etc.).  Here is the card I made with the die.

My card also features the Heartfelt Creations (HC) Classic Petunia Bouquet Stamp Set and Matching Die, and the HC Small Classic Petunia Stamp Set and Matching Die.

If you click on the above link of the  Botanical Window Die link, you’ll see that I used only the outside portion of the window die on my card.  I added to the back of the window a beautiful floral vellum, and to the front the hanging basket of floral images.

I submitted this card to Splitcoaststampers.com for two challenges; a color challenge and sketch challenge

Thanks for stopping by to enjoy my card made with Heartfelt Creations Botanic Window!

DTGD17Benzi – Classic Petunia

Welcome!!  Are you thinking, “What is DTGD17Benzi – Classic Petunia“?  Just seeing the post title without the details would cause me to ask that question!  Let me explain.  DTGD17Benzi is the title of a Splitcoaststampers.com challenge.  It stands for Dare To Get Dirty (DTGD), 2017, hosted by “Benzi”, Brenda, a fantastic artist on Splitcoaststampers.com.  The Classic Petunia is the stamp set and dies I used when creating my card that I am sharing today.

The yearly DTGD challenges are for Club Members only of Splitcoaststampers.com.  If you are not a Club Member, you can become one by signing up on the Splitcoaststampers.com site.  Because the challenges are “secret”, I cannot share the details of the challenge featured on my card.

Here is my card that I made for Brenda’s DTGD Challenge, DTGD17Benzi – Classic Petunia.   The Heartfelt Creations Small Classic Petunia Stamp Set and Dies are the main features on this card.

Here are additional photos of the card:

Thanks for stopping by Guneaux Designs to see my DTGD17Benzi – Classic Petunia card!

NOTE:  Because the challenge is over, I can share the technique used.  It is the plastic wrap technique where you place water, followed by paint or watercolors, onto a piece of watercolor paper. Completely cover the panel with paint or watercolors and place a piece of plastic wrap over the watercolor panel ensuring it is completely covered with the wrap.  Move around the plastic wrap with your fingers to get a design on the paper.  Leave the plastic wrap on the watercolor panel until it drys (typically 12 – 24 hours).  Then remove the paper and enjoy your beautiful design!

“See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ.”

Heartfelt Creations Small Classic Petunia Card

Heartfelt Creations Small Classic Petunia Card

Happy Saturday, and thanks for stopping by to see my card share today that features the Heartfelt Creations Small Classic Petunia Stamp and Die!

I made this card to submit to a Splitcoaststampers challenge, the Ways To Use It Challenge.  The challenge was to use strips of paper on your card.

To create the card, I cut a 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of white card stock and scored it diagonally using a scoring tool. Hopefully you can see the score lines. Then I cut 1/8″ strips of paper and attached them diagonally to the scored piece in a weaved pattern.

I used the Heartfelt Creations Small Classic Petunia Stamps and Dies to cut, color, and form the flowers.  Except for the white flowers, I used copics to color the flowers.  I formed the flowers and their leaves with a stylus and added prills in the centers.  Then I added Heartfelt Creations Rajni Chawla’s Crystal Clear around the edges.  The Crystal Clear is sparkles.

I attached the flowers to the scored and stripped piece after I added a green piece of ribbon. I added a sentiment from the Heartfelt Creations Classic Petunia Collection paper pad.

I have fallen in love with Heartfelt Creations, and I am enjoying making cards with its products.  I hope you like this one!  Tell me what you think of it!

Have a fantastic weekend!

Proverbs 3:1-4

“My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong our life many years and bring you prosperity.  Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.  Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.”

Heartfelt Creations Classic Petunia

Hello, my friends, and thank you for stopping by Guneaux Designs!  Have you seen the Heartfelt Creations Classic Petunia collection?  The collection is beautiful, and recently I fell in love with it and had to purchased the collection.  I am showcasing the Heartfelt Creations Classic Petunia collection by using the Small and Large Classic Petunia Stamp Sets and matching Dies on my beautiful card share for today.

I created my card with a 6″ x 8-1/2″ piece of Neenah Solar White Card Stock that I folded to create a 4-1/4″ x 6″ card base.  I wanted to use the Heartfelt Creations Decorative Oval die to cut out a 2″ section of the front of the card base.  What a task that was!  But I was successful.  The key to achieving this is the placement of the cutting plates for my die-cutting machine. The bottom cutting plate is lined up differently from the top plate when running the card base and die through the machine.

After cutting the card base with the oval die, I cut out another 2″ Decorative Oval section from white card stock and attached that to the back of the card base oval, lining it up carefully!  I used 110 LB card stock; therefore, the second oval added additional support for the card.

I used a yellow Copic Sketch Marker to color some SU Basic Pearls and attached them to the oval die cut, as you can see in the above photo.  The photo also shows the sentiment that is from the Heartfelt Classic Petunia Paper Collection.

My next step was to stamp, cut out, color, decorate, and assemble the small and large petunias.  I used the Heartfelt Creations Classic Petunia dies to cut out the petals and leaves from Neenah Solar White card stock and colored them with Copic markers closely related to the SU Sweet Sugarplum color.  This color was selected to response to a Splitcoaststampers Color Challenge (i.e., Sweet Sugarplum, Daffodil Delight, and Wild Wasabi).  After coloring and assembling the flowers, I added some SU glitter to the ends of the petals and White Prills to the centers.

Then I attached the flowers to the left side of the card base.

I hope you find inspiration from my Heartfelt Creations Classic Petunia card.  Here are a couple photos of the card taken at different angles.

I also submitted this card for two other Splitcoaststampers challenges.  One is a sketch challenge, and the other a Ways To Use It Challenge (i.e., add pearls to a project).
