Stampin Up Easter Blessings And Secret Garden

Stampin Up Easter Blessings

I have a quick card for you today that features the Stampin Up Easter Blessings and Stampin Up Secret Garden Stamp Sets.

If you read my post on Wednesday, I shared a beautiful card featuring a technique that uses Stampin’ Up!’s White Craft Ink.  In that post, I shared that I wanted to try the technique on a dark card stock.  So today I did.

I covered the flower image with VersaMark Ink, white embossed it, and heat set the image.  Then using an Aqua Painter, I covered the flower with the White Craft Ink.  After allowing the image to dry, I used markers to color the flower shades of yellow.  It is a very simple and easy technique.  However, using the craft ink on a dark card stock certainly will show all mistakes!

I encourage you to try this technique as I believe you’ll enjoy the results.  I have to admit that I think I like the technique on the Crumb Cake card stock better than on a darker piece of card stock.

Look at the card I posted Wednesday and tell me if you like the technique better on Crumb Cake or a darker card stock.

STAMPIN UP EASTER BLESSINGS

Stampin Up Secret Garden Stamp Set

I am so ready for Spring, and the Stampin Up Secret Garden Stamp Set is perfect for making a Spring-related card.  The more I use the Stampin Up Secret Garden Stamp Set, the more I like it.  I think that the card I have for you today is beautiful, if I have to say so myself.  It features the Secret Garden Stamp Set.

I created a matching envelope for the card using the same stamp set.  It is seen better in following picture.

Creating this card took some time for me as it involves using Stampin’ Up!’s White Craft Ink as the initial layer of ink for the flowers.  This card is the first one I’ve made using this technique, of which I don’t know the name.

This technique is so beautiful on Stampin’ Up!’s Crumb Cake Card Stock.  I think I will try it on a dark card stock to see if it is as beautiful.

As you can see in this  picture, I used the Masking Technique to stamp the stem and leaves stamp image from the Stampin Up Secret Garden Stamp Set.  I used Gumball Green Classic Ink to stamp the image.

The first step when using the White Craft Ink technique is to cover your stamp(s) with VersaMark Ink.  Stamp the image(s) onto the card stock and cover with Stampin’ Up!’s White Embossing Powder.  Heat set the image and begain covering the image(s) using an Aqua Painter and the White Craft Ink.  After the White Craft Ink dries, begin to apply ink colors of your choice onto the image(s).  Begin with lighter colors and move to darker colors.  After applying the White Craft Ink, I used alcohol markers to color layers of ink onto the flowers.

SUPPLIES USED FOR THIS STAMPIN UP SECRET GARDEN STAMP SET CARD:

Enjoy the Stampin Up Sale-a-bration 2013!

Stampin Up Tea for Two DSP Valentine Card

The following design from the Stampin Up Tea for Two Designer Series Paper (DSP) that has the circles gave me two ideas that I incorporated into the Valentine card below.

Stampin Up Tea for Two DSP

One Design From Stampin Up’s Tea For Two DSP

Stampin Up Tea for Two DSP Valentine Card

One of the ideas is obvious, and that is I used the Stampin’ Up! 1-3/4″ Circle Punch to punch out two of the circle designs and replaced them with other Designer Series Paper.  The substituted paper is a design from the Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper that becomes available on January 22 when Stampin’ Up!’s Sale-a-bration begins.

The other idea is related to the circle pattern of the paper’s design.  After thought, I knew that I wanted to create a sentiment related to circles.  So I created with My Digital Studio the sentiment, “My love for you is like a circle; it never ends!”.

The following is a closeup of the card’s center with the sentiment.

Tea for Two Valentine Card

I covered the sentiment and its mat with either glitter and/or Stampin’ Up!’s Crystal Effects.  To make the card appear more like a Valentine Card, I added hearts as corner pieces.
