Stampin Up You Are LovedSUPPLIES USED FOR THIS STAMPIN UP YOU ARE LOVED VALENTINE CARD:

Stamp Set:  Stampin Up You Are Loved (123779 -c), Trust God (126702), Valentine Defined (retired)

Paper:  Real Red Card Stock (124290 – 12″ x 12″), More Amore Designer Series Paper (129309)

AccessoriesBig Shot, Multipurpose Platform, and Cutting Plates (113439); Hearts Collection Framelits Dies (125599),  Sycamore Street Pool Party Ribbon (130812), Hearts Adorning Accents Embossing Folder (125601), Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder (117335), Scallop Oval Punch (119856), Extra-Large Oval Punch (119859), and Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter (102023)

INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAKING THE STAMPIN UP YOU ARE LOVED CARD BASE:

  • Cut a 6-1/4″ x 12″ piece of Real Red Card Stock and score it along the 12″ side at the 3-5/8″ and 7-1/4″ marks.

  • Align the card stock vertically with the 6-1/4″ side at the top.  Using the Big Shot, its multipurpose platform, and one cutting plate, place the card stock onto the cutting plate, and place the largest heart framelit onto the card stock slightly above the 7-1/4″ score line.

  • Place the second cutting plate onto the framelit and card stock, but place it about 1/16″ below the 7-1/4″ score line.  This creates your Big Shot sandwich.

  • Slowly push the sandwich into the Big Shot to the point that the cutting plates will catch under the roller.  Being careful to not move the cutting plates, roll the sandwich into and through the big shot with the point of the heart framelit entering first.
  • Remove the heart framelit from the card stock and the card stock will look like the picture below.

  • Turn the card stock heart underneath and cut along the 7-1/4″ fold line on the left and right sides and in the center.  Make sure you leave the heart connected to the rest of the card stock.

  • The front of the card base will look like this after cutting off the pieces.

  • Crease the card stock at the 3-5/8″ score line.
  • Set the card stock up and it will look like this:

  • Decorate your card as desired!

  STAMPIN UP YOU ARE LOVED

Stampin Up Best of Love and More Amore DSP

Today I decided to make a card that spotlights the February Stampin Up Best of Love Stamp Set and More Amore DSP.  This stamp set is the second release of Stampin Up’s Best of 25 Years stamp sets.

I used the heart stamp from the Stampin Up Best of Love stamp set as is seen better in the picture below.

What is Stampin Up’s Best of 25 Years Stamps?

As part of its 25-year anniversary celebration, Stampin Up is bringing back some of its favorite stamp images from the last quarter century and combining them into 12 sets.  It  will release one set per month during 2013. Even better, along with some great classic images, each “Best of” set will also include a never-before-seen image!

Here are Some things to remember Regarding the Stampin Up Best of Program:

  • All Best of stamp sets will include 3-5 images, including a never-before seen image, and will be priced at $14.95,
  • Each month the stamp set released will have a new theme,
  • All of the Best of sets will be available until March 31, 2014.
  • All Best of stamp sets are available in Clear-Mount only.

Another part of the program is a Collector’s Card.  With each purchase of a Best of stamp set, Stampin Up will include in the shipment a Collector’s Card and a 25-year proof of purchase sticker.  When you have purchased six stamp sets, you will have accumulated six stickers.  You place each sticker on the Collector’s Card and, after collecting six, send the card in to Stampin Up to redeem for a FREE stamp set of your choice, valued up to $14.95!

After you collect six more stickers from purchasing the last six Best of stamp sets, you send in another Collector’s Card for another FREE stamp set.  The FREE stamp sets must be redeemed no later than April 30, 2014.

Stampin Up Best of Love Stamp Set

Stampin Up All Dressed Up & Dress Up Framelits

The Stampin Up All Dressed Up stamp set and the Dress Up Framelits take me back to my childhood when I played with paper dolls.  It was such fun to dress and re-dress the dolls with their paper dresses.  That fun feeling comes back when using this stamp set and framelits.

The dress on my card share today reminds me of times when I would get all dressed up for Valentine’s Day and a special dinner with a special someone.  Those were the days (lol).

The beautiful Stampin Up More Amore Designer Series Paper was used for the first layer beneath the Red Glimmer Paper dress that drapes the dress form cutout.  A sparkling diamond necklace (just kidding – it’s a rhinestone necklace) rests upon the neck of the dress form.  Can you imagine how gorgeous you would look wearing this dress while sporting a fabulous diamond necklace?  (Imagination running wild!)

Here’s a picture of a closeup of the gorgeous necklace:

The Sale-a-bration Pool Party Sycamore Street 1/4″ Ribbon separates the dress from the “All” “Dressed” “Up” sentiment.  The tiny 7/8″ Scallop Circle Punch was used to cut out scallop circles on which to stamp the sentiment, and the circles rest upon 1″ squares that were cut out with the 1″ Square Punch.

STAMPIN UP ALL DRESSED UP

Stampin Up Tea for Two DSP Valentine Card

The following design from the Stampin Up Tea for Two Designer Series Paper (DSP) that has the circles gave me two ideas that I incorporated into the Valentine card below.

Stampin Up Tea for Two DSP

One Design From Stampin Up’s Tea For Two DSP

Stampin Up Tea for Two DSP Valentine Card

One of the ideas is obvious, and that is I used the Stampin’ Up! 1-3/4″ Circle Punch to punch out two of the circle designs and replaced them with other Designer Series Paper.  The substituted paper is a design from the Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper that becomes available on January 22 when Stampin’ Up!’s Sale-a-bration begins.

The other idea is related to the circle pattern of the paper’s design.  After thought, I knew that I wanted to create a sentiment related to circles.  So I created with My Digital Studio the sentiment, “My love for you is like a circle; it never ends!”.

The following is a closeup of the card’s center with the sentiment.

Tea for Two Valentine Card

I covered the sentiment and its mat with either glitter and/or Stampin’ Up!’s Crystal Effects.  To make the card appear more like a Valentine Card, I added hearts as corner pieces.

More Amore Specialty Designer Series Paper

I am in LOVE — with the Stampin Up More Amore Specialty Designer Series Paper — that is!  On my Valentine Card today, I used a diamond strip template to create the left side of the card.  This strip shows both sides of the design that I used from the More Amore Specialty Designer Series Paper.  This card also features a valentine stamp set that is not current but still available on Stampin’ Up!’s Clearance Rack.

More Amore DSPIsn’t the ribbon on the card beautiful?  It is an upcoming Pool Party ribbon that is wonderful to work with.  Also, the Pool Party button will debut on January 21, at Sale-a-bration.

The picture below provides a closeup of the heart and button that I embellished with raveled ribbon.
