Tutorial for a Pop Up Valentine

TUTORIAL FOR A POP UP VALENTINE

Hello, friends!!  Today I have for you a tutorial for a pop up valentine.  I made this valentine card in response to a Splitcoastampers’ challenge to create a pop up card.  I rarely make such a card, and I had to do a lot of experimenting to make this one as  I did not have, or could not find, a tutorial that I liked when making mine.  I knew what I wanted to create, so I set out to accomplish a pop up card using Hero Arts Nesting Hearts Infinity Dies.  Here is the front of my card.

John 17:22-23

Jesus Prays for All Believers:  “I have given them the glory that you [God] gave me, that they may be one as we are one:  I in them and you in me.  May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.”

Heartfelt Creations Sweetheart Borders Valentine

Heartfelt Creations Sweetheart Borders Valentine

Welcome, and happy Wednesday!!  My card share today is a Heartfelt Creations Sweetheart Borders Valentine!  Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching, and I need to get cards made.  This valentine is in non-traditional colors because it is my submission to Splitcoaststampers.com color challenge for this week.

The color combination for the challenge is Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy, Lemon Lime Twist, and Powder Pink.  Stef (aka – dahlia 19) was the color challenge hostess, and I was so happy to see that she selected navy; a color not selected often, if at all.

Ephesians 4-13

Apostle Paul said:

“As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.  Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.  Make every effort to keep the unit of the Spirit through the bond of peace.”

Sparkling Poinsettias

Sparkling Poinsettias

Every Saturday, the Splitcoaststampers site has an inspiration challenge.  Yesterday’s challenge showcased the Agraria San Francisco website.  I selected the Lavender and Rosemary group for my inspiration, and this is the card I made using the Heartfelt Creations Sparkling Poinsettias stamp and die.

I’m not sure that it can be seen in the above photo, but I started my card by stamping two Holly Strips with Golden Glitz Pigment Ink down the center of the lavender panel. This was to represent the strips of a gold design in this picture.  It is obvious in the photo below.

Matthew 12:25-28 (Jesus and Beelzebub, the Prince of Demons)

Jesus healed a demon-possessed blind and mute individual and was criticized by the Pharisees who said that Jesus could only cast out demons by Beelzebub, the prince of demons.  “Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand.  If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself.  How then can his kingdom stand?  And if I drive out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your people drive them out?  So then, they will be your judges.  But if I drive out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.”

Heartfelt Creations Wedding Card

Hello, and thanks for stopping by Guneaux Designs.  I am still cleaning up around by home from IRMA damage, but I had to take a break to create a card for my niece who is getting married this weekend.  My card, a Heartfelt Creations Wedding Card, features the following stamps and dies:

The colors my niece chose for her wedding are red and burlap.  Therefore, I tried to develop the card around her colors.

Card Made With Heartfelt Creations Botanic Window

Card Made With Heartfelt Creations Botanic Window

Welcome to Guneaux Designs.  My project share today is a card made with Heartfelt Creations Botanic Window Die.  I love the Botanic Window Die as it can be used to create various styles of windows and well as non-window projects (i.e., ornaments, etc.).  Here is the card I made with the die.

My card also features the Heartfelt Creations (HC) Classic Petunia Bouquet Stamp Set and Matching Die, and the HC Small Classic Petunia Stamp Set and Matching Die.

If you click on the above link of the  Botanical Window Die link, you’ll see that I used only the outside portion of the window die on my card.  I added to the back of the window a beautiful floral vellum, and to the front the hanging basket of floral images.

I submitted this card to Splitcoaststampers.com for two challenges; a color challenge and sketch challenge

Thanks for stopping by to enjoy my card made with Heartfelt Creations Botanic Window!

Spellbinders Victorian Arch

SPELLBINDERS VICTORIAN ARCH

Hello, and welcome to Guneaux Designs.  Today’s card share features the Spellbinders Victorian Arch Dies.  I have had these dies for over a year but have not used them.  I decided to use them yesterday to respond to a Splitcoaststamper.com challenge related to hand fans.  When I read the challenge, I immediately thought of the Spellbinders Victorian Arch dies as they remind me of a hand fan.

This is a photo of the Spellbinders Victorian Arch dies:

I used the dies and white card stock to cut out the arch.  I decorated the white arch with Nuvo Crystal Drops Bubblegum Blush drops and Heartfelt Creations Crystal Clear sparkly granules.  Subsequently, I cut a second Spellbinders Victorian Arch with white card stock on a foam sheet.  I did not want the small cutouts to come out of the die cut, and the adhesive foam sheet kept them in.  I colored the arch with a light green ink and adhered the first arch over top of the second one.

I cut a piece of designer paper from the Heartfelt Creations Classic Wedding Collection and attached it to my card base made from Stampin’ Up! Mossy Meadow card stock (retired).  I used a Stampin’ Up! Blushing Bride marker to outline the roses on the designer paper.  Then I attached the Spellbinders Victorian Arch onto the designer paper.

I wanted a butterfly to fill in the left side of the card.  Therefore, I used the Heartfelt Creations Botanical Wings Stamp Set and matching Die to create a butterfly.  Using green and pink Distress Oxide inks, I sponged the colors onto the butterfly and attached it to the arch with its wings raised.

For my “hugs” sentiment, I used a CottageCutz Hugs Phase Die to cut three Mossy Meadow “hugs”.  I adhered the three together and covered them with VersaMark® Watermark Ink.  I added clear embossing powder on the sentiment, heat set it, and attached it to the card.

I would love for you to share your thoughts about the card.  Feel free to leave a comment(s).

1 Corinthians 11:4 & 5

“Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head.  And every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head – it is as though her head were shaved.”
