About Beverly

Hi! I am Beverly Polen, owner and designer for Guneaux Designs, a rubber stamping home-based business of direct sales of top-quality rubber stamping products. We create create beautiful artwork (e.g., greeting cards, scrapbook pages, 3-D paper crafts, and more) that features Stampin' Up! (SU) products . Making greeting cards for my family and friends is something I love and have done for years. Initially, I made cards using various software. Then in 2005, I was introduced to hand-made cards, using rubber stamps. I jumped in with both feet. In 2006 I was introduced to SU stamp sets. I was amazed that there were stamp sets with coordinating stamps. No more buying individual stamps, playing the mix and match game. I was so impressed by the quality of the SU products that allowed me to make beautiful and creative greeting cards. I have been hooked ever since and my creativity continues to blossom.

Heartfelt Creations Merry and Bright Collection Shaker Card

Heartfelt Creations Merry and Bright Collection Shaker Card

Mrs. Robin (Stamperrobin) on Splitcoaststampers (SCS) provided an awesome challenge for today’s Free For All Challenge!  She asked that we just be ourselves and create a card that reflects our style.  I think that Robin’s challenge is the best yet for a Free For All Challenge!!  I created this Heartfelt Creations Merry and Bright Collection Shaker Card for the challenge.

I enjoy making various styles of cards, but I love making cards with lots of elements and layers.  I love making floral cards, but I especially love making wintry, snowman, and Christmas cards.  Thus, that is my style.

2 Corthinains 6:14

“Do not be yoked together with unbelievers.  For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common?  Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?”

Hero Arts Textured Leaves

Hero Arts Textured Leaves

Hello, special friends!  I hope that anyone impacted by Hurricane Michael has survived the horrific storm.  I was impacted with high winds and bands of drenching rain.  Thank God, my friends and family are OK.  Those who were significantly impacted are in my prayers.

I am sharing with you a card I made for two of this week’s challenges on Splitcoaststampers.  One is the Color Challenge and the other the Free For All Challenge.  The Color Challenge is to use the color combination of Stampin’ Up!’s Real Red, Garden Green, and So Saffron with “dessert” to use a stencil on a project.  The Free For All Challenge was simply to use a stencil on a project.  This is the card I created, and it features Hero Arts Textured Leaves stamps and matching dies.

1 Thessalonians 5:26-18

“Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

Hero Arts My Monthly Kit September 2018

This week’s color challenge on Splitcoaststampers includes the colors of Stampin’ Up! Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, and Fresh Fig.  I used the Hero Arts My Monthly Kit September 2018 to create this card for the challenge.  The card features a Chinese Lantern image created with stamps from the kit.

Ephesians 5:15-17 & 19

“Be very careful, then, how you live — not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.  Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is….  Speak to one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs.”

ODBD Old Rugged Cross

ODBD Old Rugged Cross

Hello, and thanks for stopping by Guneaux Designs!!  Today’s Splitcoaststampers “Ways to Use it Challenge” involves including music notes or instruments on cards, or to show the kind of music we love.  This challenge gave me the opportunity to showcase a recent stamp I purchased from Our Daily Bread Designs, the Old Rugged Cross.  My favorite music is old hymns.

Luke 23: 20-25 & 33

“Wanting to release Jesus, Pilate appealed to them again.  But they kept shouting, “Crucify him!  Crucify him!”  For the third time he spoke to them:  “Why?  What crime has this man committed?  I have found in him no grounds for the death penalty.  Therefore I will have him punished and then release him.”  But with loud shouts they insistently demanded that he be crucified, and their shouts prevailed.  So Pilate decided to grant their demand.  He released the man who had been thrown into prison for insurrection and murder, the one they asked for, and surrendered Jesus to their will. ….When they came to the place called the Skull, there they crucified him, along with the criminals — one on his right, the other on his left.”

Heartfelt Creations Botanical Rose Card

Heartfelt Creations Botanical Rose Card

Hello, and welcome to Guneaux Designs!  I created a card a couple months ago for an Inspiration Challenge on Splitcoaststampers, but I never got it posted to this site until today.  The inspiration site selected for the challenge was Hayneedle.  I selected this as the inspiration piece for creating my Heartfelt Creations Botanical Rose Card.

2 Corinthians 4:18

Chiseled Power Poppy Gerbera Daisies Digital Stamp

Hello and thanks for stopping by!  My card share is for the Splitcoaststampers Inspiration Challenge for today.  The hostess, Brenda (Benzi), selected this site that features gorgeous decorative flags.  I selected this flag for my inspiration because of the daisies.  I recently purchased Power Poppy’s Gerbera Daisies Digital Stamp and I wanted to use it on my card and submit it to Power Poppy’s Creative Confetti Challenge that was posted last Tuesday.  I will also enter the card for Back To Basics and Beyond Challenges Challenge #12 Inky Backgrounds.

2 Corinthians 9:6 & 7

“Remember this:  Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.  Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
