Stampin Up Trust God and Mosaic Madness Stamp Sets

It’s the beginning of a weekend and I am ready for it!  I hope everyone has a blessed one!  My card share today features two stamp sets, the Stampin Up Trust God and Mosaic Madness sets.  Also featured on the card is the Quatrefancy Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Stampin Up Trust God

The base for this card is made with Pool Party Card Stock.  The first layer on the card is a design from the Quatrefancy Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Although I like the design, I think it is a bit “loud”.  Therefore, I tried to tone it down by covering it with solid colors that are within the design.  The colors used are Pool Party, Strawberry Slush, Daffodil Delight, and Island Indigo.  I think I was successful in muting the design.

Trust God Stamp Set

Trust God Stamp SetHope you are having a good weekend!  Today’s card features the Stampin’ Up! Trust God Stamp Set, as well as the Secret Garden Stamp Set.  I think the card is very pretty and soothing.

The Trust God Stamp Set is one of my favorites, and I am thankful it is not on Stampin’ Up!’s retiring products list.  My opinion is that the stamp set is great for cards of encouragement and to let friends and loved ones know you are thinking of them.

To make the card, I used VersaMark to randomly stamp the large flower from the Secret Garden Stamp Set onto a piece of Whisper White Card Stock.  The flowers were covered with Pewter Stampin’ Embossing Powder and heat set.

Then I randomly sponged three classic inks around the card stock. I used the returning Soft Sky and Crushed Curry, and the current Melon Mambo classic inks.  I really like the look of blending inks.

Using VersaMark, I stamped the sentiment from the Trust God Stamp Set onto a small piece of Whisper White Card Stock, covered it with the Pewter Stampin’ Embossing Powder and heat set it.  I used the Stampin’ Up! Oval Framelits to cut out the sentiment and a Soft Sky Mat for it.  I added six Basic Rhinestones to give the card a little bling.  Before attaching the sentiment and mat to the card, I attached a piece of Soft Sky Ribbon to the center of the card.  (So glad I still have some of the Stampin’ Up products in the returning colors!)

TRUST GOD STAMP SET AND SECRET GARDEN STAMP SET

Stampin Up Trust God – Nature Art

Today seems an appropriate day to use the Stampin Up Trust God stamp set on a card that features God’s nature!  I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and are thankful for blessings.

I do not know if there is an appropriate name for the technique I used on the card, therefore I am calling it nature art technique.  If you know the name of the technique, please leave me a comment.

Stampin Up Trust God

Are you wondering how I created the card’s flowers?  If so, let me tell you that you’ll need some real flowers, their leaves, and Stampin’ Up! Water Color Paper (122959).  These are the flowers and leaves I used:

So what did I do with these flowers and leaves?  I selected a few of each and laid them face down onto the watercolor paper.

I then ran the flowers and paper through the Big Shot and this is the result:

You’ll need some paper towels handy if you try this technique as there is a lot of moisture in the flowers.  After cleaning up the Big Shot, I carefully removed the flowers and leaves.

After the paper dried, I created the “God is Love” card.  Here are two more pictures of the card:

I hope you try this technique and make the Stampin Up Trust God card!
