Impression Obsession Sleigh Scene

Hello, stampers!  Happy Monday to you!  Today’s card share features the Impression Obsession Sleigh Scene Dies.

Impression Obsession Sleigh Scene

I used the Inlay Technique to create the Sleigh Scene on the card.  First I used a few copic sketch markers in blue, lavender, and aqua to color on a piece of white card stock.  I overlapped the colors for a good blend.  Then I die cut the scene from this colored piece, as well as from a piece of white card stock.  I also used the colored paper to cut my sentiment.

After the positive and negative of the Impression Obsession Sleigh Scene die were cut out, I adhered the pieces of colored card stock into the white Sleigh Scene, which is the Inlay Technique process.  I think it turned out great.  I added double sided foam adhesive tape on this piece to adhere it to the front of the card base that I embossed with the Stitches Cover Plate by Ellen.  To add the look of snow, I used the Marvy Uchida Snow Maker to add snow on the card.

Thank you for stopping by and leaving comments!  I hope you have a blessed week!

The birth of Jesus Christ:  “This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about:  His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit.  Because Joseph was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.  But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to Him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.  She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”  Matthew 1:18-21

Penny Black Let’s Chill

Has the weather changed to cooler or cold temperatures in your area?  Many people on social media are welcoming colder weather and snow.  I live in Florida and I mostly have sunny weather.  Thinking about colder weather, I made a card that will give you a chill as it is a cold, wintry scene.  The main feature on the card is the Penny Black Let’s Chill stamp image.

Isn’t she cute all dressed up in her best winter coat, hat, scarf, and boots?  I think so. The wind is blowing, snow is falling, and temperature is chilly.  But she is warmly wrapped and enjoying the snow along with her little friend sitting on the snowy branch, the red cardinal.

I submitted this card for three Splitcoaststampers challenges:

1.  CC611 – Color Challenge using Real Red, Wild Wasabi, and Very Vanilla,
2.  F4A354 – Free for All Challenge to create with Snow, and
3.  MIX201 – Mix-Ability Challenge, Anything Goes.

For the Color Challenge, my beautiful little girl is wearing red and green, and she is standing beneath a Very Vanilla snowy tree branch that is holding my favorite bird – a cardinal.  She also is standing in mounds of snow, which is for the Free for All Challenge, and it is pouring down snow.  I made the card with die cuts, alcohol inks, Stickles, and Liquid Appliqué for the Mix-Ability Challenge.

Hero Arts Cardinal

I am blessed to have another day, a day to share this beautiful card I made featuring Hero Arts Cardinal Stamp Set.

The very talented Mary (MaryR917) is the host today for the Splitcoaststampers Color Challenge, CC600. She asked the design team to pick a favorite challenge that they hosted between #501 and #599, and we can select their colors for this challenge. I selected the colors of Karen Barber’s Color Challenge, CC509. For that challenge, she selected SU Cherry Cobbler, Soft Sky, and Old Olive.Hero Arts Cardinal

These are the steps I followed to made my card:

~Cut a circle from my card base and stamped on it multiple times using three-step stamps of a cardinal.
~Used one application of Cherry Cobbler for the first stamp, two for the second stamp, and multiple times for the third.
~Stamped the branch with Old Olive multiple times to make the branch darker.
~Stamped the pine needles with one application of Old Olive.
~Masked the cardinal and branch and sponged Soft Sky around them.
~Ran the front of the card base through my Big Shot using the SU Holly EF.
~Attached a piece of white card stock behind the card base front and adhered the cardinal piece back into the circle that I previously cut out.

Hero Arts Cardinal~Cut poinsettias from Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive card stock using the Cottage Cutz Poinsettia & Holly Die.
~Assembled and adhered the flowers together and added flower soft in the centers.
~Attached the flowers to the card base.

Hero Arts Cardinal~Cut a ribbon banner and stamped on it Merry Christmas, added foam tape, and attached to the card base.
~Added three light green sequins to the card.

Merry Christmas Poinsettias

Hi, crafters!!  Today I have a great card to share that is a Merry Christmas card featuring Poinsettias!  Yes, I know, it’s July!!  So why am I sharing a Merry Christmas Poinsettias card?  Well, today on Splitcoaststampers, the Clean and Simple Challenge was to create a Christmas card.  Therefore, I created this card and submitted it for the challenge.

Merry Christmas Poinsettias

To make the card, I created two masks of the Poinsettia stamp using Post-it Labeling Tape. I stamped one Poinsettia, masked it, stamped another, masked it, and so on. I stamped and masked until the white card stock was covered in Poinsettias.

Merry Christmas Poinsettias

I colored the Poinsettias with the below Copic Sketch Markers. It only took me all day to color them!!  I adhered a ribbon across the middle of the card stock, stamped my sentiment, die cut the sentiment, added foam tape to the back of the die cut and mounted it onto the front over the ribbon.

Merry Christmas Poinsettias

I attached this piece to a piece of SU Red Glitter Paper and that to a whisper white card base.

Merry Christmas Poinsettias

I hope you enjoy the Merry Christmas Poinsettias card!  Questions or comments?  Please leave them in the comments section!

Jesus prays for all believers while He was on earth…“My prayer is not for them alone.  I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you.  May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”  John 17:20-21
