Heartfelt Creations Young At Heart

Does this card bring back memories for you?  I created the card using the Heartfelt Creations Young At Heart collection, and it certainly brought back very happy moments for me.  I guess you have to be in your 50s or older for it to cause you to remember when you were “Young at Heart”.  LOL

I made the card to submit to last week’s Color Challenge on Splitcoaststampers.  I love the colors Karen Barber selected for the Color Challenge. They are SU Wild Wasabi, Powder Pink, So Saffron, and Soft Sky.  My card was selected as the Color Challenge Favorite on Splitcoaststampers!

Matthew 12:34-36

Jesus said: “You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good?  For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.  The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him.”

Stampin Up Holiday Decorations Framelits

I have for you today my third card that I made using the Alcohol Ink Baubles Technique.  I made the card using the Stampin Up Holiday Decorations Framelits.  I created the Christmas ornament by applying reds and greens alcohol ink onto a piece of Yupo paper.  I love the effect that is achieved through this process.

I created this card in response to the Splitcoaststampers.com Falliday Fest Tutorial #1 – Alcohol Ink Baubles.

Heartfelt Creations Paper Purse

HEARTFELT CREATIONS PAPER PURSE

I have wanted to create a paper purse for some time; therefore, I decided to create this Heartfelt Creations Paper Purse using the Heartfelt Creations Classic Petunia Collection paper and related products.

I created this paper purse for my 2-year old (almost 3) granddaughter who is my crafting partner!  Yes, you read that right!  She loves crafting with me, and she especially loves it when I make her 3-D items.  She uses the 3-D items (e.g., baskets, boxes, mini-purses, etc.) that I make her to carry around her small dolls’ (i.e., 3″ tall) clothes and shoes.

She always tries, unsuccessfully, to get her little hand through the rather small handles of the smaller 3-D items.  I knew I needed to create for her a larger purse with a long strap.  Therefore, I created this purse with a long-braided strap that will meet her need.  When I gave it to her, she immediately started stuffing her doll clothes into the purse and carrying it around with the strap on her shoulder.  My objective was fulfilled, and she was a happy little girl!  Continue reading

CottageCutz Autumn Card

COTTAGECUTZ AUTUMN CARD

Hello, my friends!  I had to take another break from Irma cleanup to make this CottageCutz Autumn Card.  My driveway is half full of debris from the storm, and it has yet to be picked up by the county.  I’m trying to be patient, but gee, it has been close to a month!  I’m sure they are working as fast as possible as there was a lot of damage in my county.  I just want to  see a clean driveway!!  On to the card.

I did not know where to begin to create my card, so I decided to use two Splitcoaststampers.com challenges.  One is this week’s Clean and Simple challenge, “Pumpkin Time”, and the other the Color Challenge, “A Peach Twist with Espresso”.

The “Pumpkin Time” challenge is to “show your take on a pumpkin theme”.  The color challenge included three Stampin’ Up! colors:
