I had so much fun developing this very simply MDS Happy Easter Scrapbook Page! So you ask, “How can you have such fun developing a simple MDS Happy Easter Scrapbook Page?” The reason is I was able to change the color of images into multiple colors!
Recall on March 19th I shared that there were changes made by Stampin’ Up! to its “My Digital Studio”? One of the changes was related to updating the original MDS. If one had purchased the original MDS but had not upgraded to MDS 2 or MDS 2+, he/she could get the complete and latest version of MDS FREE beginning March 20! I fell into that category. Now I have the most updated version of MDS, and one of the major features of it is the ability to change colors of the images! That is why I had such fun. Notice the multiple colors of images on the scrapbook page, especially the flowers.
Seriously, I could not believe just how easy it was to use the tool within My Digital Studio to change images into multiple colors. Don’t laugh at me, but I am so excited about the updated software. If you purchased the original MDS software and had not updated it, open up your MDS software and you will be prompted to update the software. Click on the check for updates button and, like magic, the latest version of MDS will be downloaded for FREE. Don’t you just love it when Stampin’ Up! gives you FREE product!

I am so ready for Spring, and the Stampin Up Secret Garden Stamp Setis perfect for making a Spring-related card. The more I use the Stampin UpSecret Garden Stamp Set, the more I like it. I think that the card I have for you today is beautiful, if I have to say so myself. It features the Secret Garden Stamp Set.
I created a matching envelope for the card using the same stamp set. It is seen better in following picture.
Creating this card took some time for me as it involves using Stampin’ Up!’s White Craft Ink as the initial layer of ink for the flowers. This card is the first one I’ve made using this technique, of which I don’t know the name.
This technique is so beautiful on Stampin’ Up!’s Crumb Cake Card Stock. I think I will try it on a dark card stock to see if it is as beautiful.
As you can see in this picture, I used the Masking Technique to stamp the stem and leaves stamp image from the Stampin Up Secret Garden Stamp Set. I used Gumball Green Classic Ink to stamp the image.
The first step when using the White Craft Ink technique is to cover your stamp(s) with VersaMark Ink. Stamp the image(s) onto the card stock and cover with Stampin’ Up!’s White Embossing Powder. Heat set the image and begain covering the image(s) using an Aqua Painter and the White Craft Ink. After the White Craft Ink dries, begin to apply ink colors of your choice onto the image(s). Begin with lighter colors and move to darker colors. After applying the White Craft Ink, I used alcohol markers to color layers of ink onto the flowers.

Gee, the Stampin’ Up! Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper goes away on March 22 at the end of Stampin’ Up!’s Sale-a-bration – how time flies! For me, the Sale-a-bration Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper has been a paper difficult to work with. Regardless, I have used it multiple times, and today’s card project features the Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper and two techniques, Ribbon Weaving and Guneaux Designs Sliced Rock Technique. (Just an FYI, the SU Stamp Set that matches the Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper is the Madison Avenue Stamp Set which is part of the SU Sale-a-bration.)
This is a closeup of the ribbon weaving and sliced rock techniques:
I selected two designs from the Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper (DSP) to create the card. The top portion is the Rich Razzleberry design with circles, and the stems and multiple colors of leaves is the bottom portion. I used the Stampin’ Up! Blossom Punch to punch a blossom into the center of the top piece. I cut 14 pieces of the Stampin’ Up! Stitched Satin Ribbon(all colors), with each piece long enough to cover the blossom. To ribbon weave, follow the instructions below.
After completing the ribbon weaving, I used Stampin’ Write Markers around the blossom, which is the Guneaux Designs Sliced Rock Technique. If you’ve not seen this technique, there is a video with instructions at the bottom of this post.
Finally, I adhered the ribbon weaved piece of DSP to the upper portion of a Summer Starfruit card base, and the second piece of the Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper to the bottom. A piece of Summer Starfruit Stitched Satin Ribbon was added.

STEP 1. Determine how many pieces of ribbon are needed to cover the primary element of your project. Your size of this element will determine the length of each piece. For my blossom, I needed 14 pieces of approximately 5″ long.
STEP 2. With the primary element facing down (i.e., in my case, the negative of the punched out blossom DSP), place adhesive (e.g., Sticky Strip) along the top, left, and right of the blossom. Begin attaching the ribbons vertically, side by side (no space between). If you use a patterned ribbon, the patterned side of the ribbon should be facing down. Ensure the top portion of the ribbon pieces are well attached to the adhesive.
STEP 3. Move every other piece of the vertical ribbon up to the top of the piece of DSP.
STEP 4. Lay a piece of ribbon horizontally across the remaining vertical ribbons (this step begins the weaving process). Adhere one end of this piece of ribbon to the left of the vertical ribbons. Ensure the very top of the punched out piece in the DSP is covered with this first piece of ribbon. Adhere the other end to the right of the vertical ribbons.
STEP 5. Bring down the vertical ribbons across the horizontal piece of ribbon.
STEP 6. Lift up the vertical ribbons that weren’t lifted the first time.
STEP 7. Lay the second piece of ribbon horizontally across the vertical ribbons (adhere both ends). Make sure that this piece of ribbon is pushed up against the first horizontal piece of ribbon.
STEP 8. Bring down the vertical ribbon pieces across the second piece of horizontal ribbon.
STEP 9: Repeat this process until you’ve completed the weaving process.
STEP 10. Place adhesive along the bottom and adhere the vertical ribbons to the DSP. If necessary, trim the ends of the vertical ribbons flush with the DSP.

Boy, am I having fun with the Stampin Up All Dressed Up Bundle! I am so enjoying playing with paper dolls ….LOL….like I did as a child. Seriously, I really enjoyed created my Stampin Up All Dressed Up card.
Let me first welcome you to the Guneaux Designs Boutique! In my store front window are a grouping of “mix and match” outfits. Come inside the Boutique and let me share with you information about the designs. Or if you like, you can just window shop. If you window shop, please don’t touch the window as you will leave fingerprints. (Don’t you shake your head! lol. I’m just having fun!)
I have for you several photos of the various elements of this card made with the Stampin Up All Dressed Up Framelits. To that end, the following three pictures reflect the first mannequin’s outfit.
The outfit is made with a beautiful design from the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack. The designer of the outfit used one of the Stampin Up Dress Up Framelits to cut out the material. The blouse sports a beautiful floral broach. Around the mannequin’s neck is a gorgeous green diamond necklace made with Stampin Up Basic Rhinestones and a permanent green marker, a state-of-the-art designer tool. The belt that wraps around the blouse is made from Lucky Limeade Card Stock. The skirt is made from another beautiful design of the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack.
The outfit on the mannequin in the center of the Guneaux Designs Boutique window features a beautiful cardigan (photo to the left). The cardigan is wrapped around a gorgeous dress that was made with Lucky Limeade Card Stock and the same framelit used for the first outfit. The cardigan has beautiful pearl buttons that match the pearl necklace on the mannequin. The pearls were made with Stampin Up Basic Pearls that were colored with the state-of-the-art permanent marker. Don’t they just made this outfit?
The picture below shows the complete outfit. The dress was made with another Stampin Up Dressed Up Framelit and the above-mentioned Designer Series Paper. It is enhanced with an added Lucky Limeade ruffle at the bottom made with the same Stampin Up Dressed Up Framelit.
The third mannequin in the window is wearing a more casual outfit. It is a two-piece outfit of a blouse and skirt as is the first outfit.
The blouse includes ruffles made from the same material as the skirt, the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack. The designer used a tool to create the ruffles – the Stampin Up Scalloped Edge BorderPunch.
The scallops were folded one on top of another to create the ruffles. Aren’t they very fashionable? The neck supports a pearl necklace made with Stampin Up Basic Pearls, which are also included on the Midnight Muse Stitched Satin Ribbonbelt shown in both photos.
Let’s move on to the store front window itself. In the following photo, you can see that the light from the sun is creating a reflection on the window. It also shows a reflection of the Guneaux Designs Boutique lettering onto the wall behind the glass. The glass window was made with a Stampin Up Window Sheet.
