Splitcoastampers Color Challenge – Non-traditional Valentine Card

Hello, and thanks for stopping by!  This week I entered Splitcoastampers color challenge to create a card with three Stampin’ Up! colors; Strawberry Slush, Mint Macaron, and Early Espresso.

The challenge included a “dessert” to create a non-traditional valentine card using these colors. Additionally, participants could use non-traditional valentine images. This is the card I created for the challenge.

So, what are your thoughts?  Do you think it’s non-traditional for a valentine card?

When I was in the decision-making process for the card, I thought of a flamingo stamp I have that is included in a retired Stampin’ Up! stamp set, Valentine Defined. I further thought about the flamingos and their synchronized mating dance.  Thus, I decided the sentiment had to be Synchronized Love!

Here are additional photos of the card.

Stampin Up Owl Punch – Happy Valentine’s Day – Guneaux Designs

It has been a while since I used the famous Stampin Up Owl Punch, so I decided for today’s post I would use it to create a Happy Valentine’s Day Card.   This card is one I made for my grandchildren, and it is a gate fold card.

I pray that you have a blessed day with your Sweet Valentine!

This is a closeup of the owl.  Isn’t he a cutie?  I love his eyes!

I used a retired stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Friends to create a tree branch. The stamp image is of a bird on a branch. It took some careful maneuvering to extend the branch and not include the bird (lol).

This picture is of the inside of the card.  I used Stampin’ Up!’s My Digital Studio to create the sentiment.  I think my grandchildren, who are young, will laugh at the sentiment.
