Stampin Up Venetian Romance DSPMy special friend, Melody, from N.VA has left to return home, and I feel sad.  However, I am very pleased that we had a fantastic visit, and I hope to see her again soon.  Because I feel sad about her leaving, I chose to create a card that would provide comfort to anyone who has such feelings when a loved one visits and leaves.  Therefore, I am featuring the Stampin Up Venetian Romance DSP and Verve Stamps on my card share today.  The Verve Stamps “Let It Be” Stamp Set has the perfect sentiment stamp for the card:  “Every Little Thing is Going to be All Right“.  This picture provides a close up of the sentiment. Venetian Romance DSP

I think that the design I used from the Stampin Up Venetian Romance DSP is one of the prettiest designs from the DSP.  Its colors are Island Indigo and Pistachio Pudding.  I used the Stampin’ Up! Pistachio Pudding Card Stock for the card base and the Island Indigo Card Stock for a couple of highlighting elements.

I used this past Monday’s MOJO Monday MOJO310 sketch for the design of my card.  The MOJO310 sketch follows.

It is great to have a sketch to follow when creating a card.  Julee Tilman’s sketches are always beautiful.  She is one of the designers for MOJO Monday.

Hi, my friends.  I am really enjoying my time with my special friend, Melody, who is visiting from N. Virginia.  We are having fun and eating a lot (lol)!  I decided I needed to take time to share a card I made that spotlights the Stampin’ Up! Label Love Stamp Set.

I love the new Coastal Cabana Card Stock from Stampin’ Up!.  It goes well with so many colors, such as Crushed Curry, which is the second color for this card.

What do you think of the new Stampin’ Up! Deco Labels Framelits?  I love them.  I used the largest framelit (4-1/8″ x 3-5/8″) to create the primary element for the card.  This label is made with Coastal Cabana Card Stock, Coastal Cabana Designer Series Paper, and Crushed Curry Designer Series Paper.

Also on the Deco Label are two cutouts made with one of the Stampin’ Up! Finishing Touches Edgelits.  Additional embellishments are the basic pearls that rest upon the framelit and the two butterflies.  The Polka Dot Crushed Curry Ribbon is an old Stampin’ Up! ribbon that matches perfectly with the polka dot elements on the card.  Resting on the ribbon is the “Just for You” sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Label Love Stamp Set.  After cutting out the label with the Artisan Label Punch, I cut off the top and bottom.

I am SO excited (doing the happy dance)!  My best friend from Northern Virginia arrives in a few hours for a visit.  I have not seen her for about three years, so I am so excited and looking forward to her visit here in Florida.  I made this card for her from the Stampin’ Up! Afternoon Picnic DSP to tell her “welcome, best friend”. Afternoon Picnic DSP - MOJO309

Would you agree with me that the color combination of Coastal Cabana and Wisteria Wonder is beautiful?  I think they are striking together.  These are the colors in all of the Afternoon Picnic DSP design patterns that I selected for this card.

The card’s “best friend” sentiment is from the Stampin’ Up! Fabulous Phrases Stamp Set.  The sentiment was stamped onto a Coastal Cabana Card Stock Spellbinders Splendid Circle.  It rests upon a 1-3/4″ Crushed Curry Card Stock circle.  The flower resting on the sentiment is quite easy to make.  I simply cut a 1-3/4″ circle from Wisteria Wonder Card Stock and “fussy cut” it in a circular fashion.  I then rolled it around a wooden skewer and glued it together.  Then I used the Stampin’ Up! Boho Blossoms Punch to punch out a Crushed Curry Card Stock flower that I glued into the center.  Although you cannot see it too well, there is a tiny Basic Pearl in the center of the flower.

Venetian Romance DSP – Let It Be Verve Stamps

The Stampin’ Up! Venetian Romance DSP’s coordinating colors are Crisp Cantaloupe, Island Indigo, Pistachio Pudding, Soft Suede, Tangerine Tango, and Very Vanilla.  I chose to use Pistachio Pudding and Crisp Cantaloupe Card Stock to highlight the Venetian Romance DSP design that I used on the left side of my inspirational card below.

This is my first time using Verve Stamps, and I especially like the inspirational Let It Be stamp set. The verse (the sentiment) for my card is from that stamp set.  I wish Stampin’ Up!’s inventory of stamp sets includes ones with Biblical verses.

I used the Stampin’ Up! Apothecary Accents Framelits, the medium rectangle accent, for cutting the Very Vanilla Card Stock on which the sentiment rests.  I traced around the same framelit onto Crisp Cantaloupe Card Stock and fussy cut it to create the sentiment’s mat.  I punched holes in the top left and right corners of the mat to insert ribbon through.  The ribbon used is the Everyday Enchantment Organdy Ribbon from this year’s Sale-a-Bration.  I colored with a permanent marker a Very Vintage Designer Button to top the ribbon and to give the appearance that the sentiment is hanging from the ribbon and button.

I embossed the front of the Pistachio Pudding card base with the Stampin’ Up Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder.  This embossing folder is one of Stampin’ Up!’s best embossing folders.

Envelope Punch Board - Stampin' Up!

I know you must have heard about it, and now it is available to order!  What is it?  It is Stampin’ Up!’s new Envelope Punch Board! 

STAMPIN’ UP! ENVELOPE PUNCH BOARD FEATURES:

  • It creates totally customizable envelopes in up to 66 different sizes (not to mention a million different color and pattern options depending on the paper you want to use). Even tried and true envelope sizes will only take you moments to create!

  • It’s small and lightweight:  This makes it easy for you to take it with you when attending classes and club meetings. It is super portable and easy to store. It is small and light enough that you could use it while watching a soccer match, at a park, at a friend’s for craft night-anywhere.

Yesterday I asked that you come back to my site today to see a cutie!  This cutie features the Stampin Up Mosaic Madness Stamp Set, Modern Mosaic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, and Mosaic Punch.  Now, isn’t it a cutie?  Well, I sure thank so!

What do you think about the color combination?  I love it!  Although we are approaching September and a lot of Stampin Up crafters are gravitating toward fall colors, I’m not.  I love color – bolds and pastels.  The following picture provides a closer look at the colors used. Stampin Up Mosaic Madness Stamp Set

The base of the card is Stampin Up Pacific Point Card Stock.  The second layer is Stampin Up Crushed Curry Card Stock that includes a stamped border from the Stampin Up Mosaic Madness Stamp Set.  The third layer is Stampin Up Bermuda Bay Card Stock that is also framed with a stamped border from the stamp set.  Can you guess the color of the fourth layer?  Give it a try and let me know your guess in the comment section of this post (chat bubble beside the title).

Now, I have to admit that although I purchased it, I was not too fond of the Stampin Up Mosaic Madness Stamp Set.  But I decided to force myself to create (can you imagine forcing a card maker to create?) a card that featured all things Mosaic!  With the color combination, I think it turned out quite well.  I will use the Stampin Up Mosaic Madness Stamp Set again. 🙂
