Venetian Romance DSP – Let It Be Verve Stamps

The Stampin’ Up! Venetian Romance DSP’s coordinating colors are Crisp Cantaloupe, Island Indigo, Pistachio Pudding, Soft Suede, Tangerine Tango, and Very Vanilla.  I chose to use Pistachio Pudding and Crisp Cantaloupe Card Stock to highlight the Venetian Romance DSP design that I used on the left side of my inspirational card below.

Venetiam Romance DSP - Let It Be Verve Stamps

This is my first time using Verve Stamps, and I especially like the inspirational Let It Be stamp set. The verse (the sentiment) for my card is from that stamp set.  I wish Stampin’ Up!’s inventory of stamp sets includes ones with Biblical verses.

I used the Stampin’ Up! Apothecary Accents Framelits, the medium rectangle accent, for cutting the Very Vanilla Card Stock on which the sentiment rests.  I traced around the same framelit onto Crisp Cantaloupe Card Stock and fussy cut it to create the sentiment’s mat.  I punched holes in the top left and right corners of the mat to insert ribbon through.  The ribbon used is the Everyday Enchantment Organdy Ribbon from this year’s Sale-a-Bration.  I colored with a permanent marker a Very Vintage Designer Button to top the ribbon and to give the appearance that the sentiment is hanging from the ribbon and button.

I embossed the front of the Pistachio Pudding card base with the Stampin’ Up Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder.  This embossing folder is one of Stampin’ Up!’s best embossing folders.

VENETIAN ROMANCE DSP – LET IT BE VERVE STAMPS

Venetian Romance Designer Series Paper; Fabulous Phrases

My friends, I have a card for you today that spotlights the Stampin’ Up! Venetian Romance Designer Series Paper.  But first I want to apologize for not posting over the last several days.  My brother became quite ill and I had to leave town unexpectedly.  Thus I was unprepared regarding posting projects.

Back to the card.  Notice the arrow in the following picture?  That is the design I used from the Venetian Romance Designer Series Paper for a portion of the card.  This design is not an exact match to the Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder, but it comes close enough that I used the embossing folder with the paper.

Here is the Venetian Romance Designer Series Paper card: Venetian Romance Designer Series Paper

To make this card, I cut a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of the above-mentioned design from the Venetian Romance Designer Series Paper.  Using the Stampin’ Up! Trimmer (see note below), I cut the piece into two triangles.

I cut a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock, placed it into the Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder, and ran it through the Big Shot.  I covered a brayer with Tangerine Tango Classic Ink and ran it across the debossed side of the card stock.  I cut the piece into two triangles.

I placed one triangle from both pieces onto the Venetian Romance Designer Series PaperTangerine Tango Card Stock card base after inserting three brads on each piece (see above picture).  I used a small piece of the Soft Suede design from the Venetian Romance Designer Series Paper, matted it with Baked Brown Sugar Card Stock, and attached it over the two triangles.

For the sentiment, I stamped “heartfelt gratitude” in Tangerine Tango Classic Ink onto a Very Vanilla circle.  The circle is matted with a Spellbinders die called, Splendid Circles.

I embossed a small piece of Tangerine Tango card stock with the  Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder and cut out an Artisan Label with the Stampin’ Up! Artisan Label Punch. The label was attached to the bottom of the circle.  To the side of the label, I added two flowers made with the Boho Blossoms Punch.

Stampin' Trimmer NOTE:  If you have not purchased the Stampin’ Up! Trimmer, I encourage you to do so.  I have used lots of trimmers, and I initially decided I would just keep and use my Fiskars instead of purchasing the Trimmer.  However, I placed an order for Stampin’ Up! products and decided to get the Trimmer free with hostess dollars.  I cannot express how very happy I am with the Trimmer.  The cutting space is larger than usual and it cuts perfectly.  The meansurements are exact, unlike some trimmers I’ve used.  So, don’t hestitate to get it.  I promise you will be happy you did.
