Heartfelt Creations Winter’s Eve Card

Heartfelt Creations Winter’s Eve Card

Hello!  Today I am sharing my Heartfelt Creations Winter’s Eve Card  that I made for a challenge on Splitcoaststampers.com.  The hostess of the challenge wanted to “See the Light”.  The impetus for her challenge was related to the days getting shorter and having less light each day.  Therefore, my Heartfelt Creations Winter’s Eve Card shows much light from a window.

I used several of the products in this collection to create the card.   I used the Window Frame Stamp Set and Window Frame Dies to create the window.   The gorgeous designer paper I used is from the Heartfelt Creations Winter’s Eve Collection paper pad. The paper pad includes so many gorgeous designs.

Here are additional photos of my card:

Enjoy!!

Luke 23:44-46

“It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour, for the sun stopped shining.  And the curtain of the temple was torn in two.  Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.”  When he had said this, he breathed his last.

Hero Arts July Monthly Kit

Hero Arts July Monthly Kit

Happy Sunday to you!!!  Thanks for stopping by to see my project that I created with stamps from Hero Arts July Monthly Kit.

For the longest time, I have wanted a garden trellis on which I would hang garden boots filled with garden soil and flowers.  I would place the trellis in my back-yard garden. Unfortunately, I have yet to achieve that dream, but maybe one day.

My card brings me joy as in my mind it is a replica of my dream.  I see behind the trellis my garden with the bright Florida sun and beautiful sky.  I see my garden flowers behind the trellis which are difficult for you to see, but they are there.  I created them by stamping in black ink floral images from an old Stampin’ Up! Stamp Set, the Garden Silhouettes.  My boots (shoes) represent those I envision hanging on my trellis with beautiful flowers growing out of the top of the boots.

After stamping and coloring my flowers, I fussy cut them, as well as the boots.  I hope one day to bring my dream to fruition!

I submitted this card for two challenges on Splitcoaststampers.com.

CottageCutz Jolly Snowman Heads Up

COTTAGECUTZ JOLLY SNOWMAN HEADS UP

Welcome!!  I have a card share for you today that should bring laughter for you!  My card is a CottageCutz Jolly Snowman Heads Up card.  This week on Splitcoaststampers.com, there is a Clean and Simple Challenge that is titled, “Head in the Clouds”.  The challenge hostess wanted to see creations around this theme.  I decided to take the challenge literally.  So my card features the CottageCutz Jolly Snowman with his head in the clouds attached by black thread to the snowman’s arm.  I thought a “Heads Up” sentiment would be appropriate.

I wanted a cloudy background for a snowy scene, thus I cut some card stock in scallops of various sizes and used that as a cloud template.  Using the template, I sponged on some blue Hero Arts Distress Oxide inks and spritzed the clouds with water to get the appearance of it snowing.

Subsequently, I cut some snowbanks, covered them with sparkly crystal granules, and attached them to the card base.

Enjoy the card, and let me know if it made you laugh!

Spellbinders Victorian Arch

SPELLBINDERS VICTORIAN ARCH

Hello, and welcome to Guneaux Designs.  Today’s card share features the Spellbinders Victorian Arch Dies.  I have had these dies for over a year but have not used them.  I decided to use them yesterday to respond to a Splitcoaststamper.com challenge related to hand fans.  When I read the challenge, I immediately thought of the Spellbinders Victorian Arch dies as they remind me of a hand fan.

This is a photo of the Spellbinders Victorian Arch dies:

I used the dies and white card stock to cut out the arch.  I decorated the white arch with Nuvo Crystal Drops Bubblegum Blush drops and Heartfelt Creations Crystal Clear sparkly granules.  Subsequently, I cut a second Spellbinders Victorian Arch with white card stock on a foam sheet.  I did not want the small cutouts to come out of the die cut, and the adhesive foam sheet kept them in.  I colored the arch with a light green ink and adhered the first arch over top of the second one.

I cut a piece of designer paper from the Heartfelt Creations Classic Wedding Collection and attached it to my card base made from Stampin’ Up! Mossy Meadow card stock (retired).  I used a Stampin’ Up! Blushing Bride marker to outline the roses on the designer paper.  Then I attached the Spellbinders Victorian Arch onto the designer paper.

I wanted a butterfly to fill in the left side of the card.  Therefore, I used the Heartfelt Creations Botanical Wings Stamp Set and matching Die to create a butterfly.  Using green and pink Distress Oxide inks, I sponged the colors onto the butterfly and attached it to the arch with its wings raised.

For my “hugs” sentiment, I used a CottageCutz Hugs Phase Die to cut three Mossy Meadow “hugs”.  I adhered the three together and covered them with VersaMark® Watermark Ink.  I added clear embossing powder on the sentiment, heat set it, and attached it to the card.

I would love for you to share your thoughts about the card.  Feel free to leave a comment(s).

Power Poppy Sunset Sway Digital Stamp

Power Poppy Sunset Digital Stamp

Welcome!!  Thanks for stopping by to see my latest piece of artwork; a card featuring the Power Poppy Sunset Sway Digital Stamp.  I think the floral image is gorgeous.

I created this card for two Splitcoaststampers.com challenges.  One challenge is the Color Challenge for this week.  The hostess for the challenge selected a beautiful color combination of POWDER PINK, SWEET SUGAR PLUM, and MINT MACARON. These are Stampin’ Up! colors.

Because I do not have the Stampin’ Up! colors, I used Copic Sketch Markers in similar colors.  This following photo shows a closeup of the colored floral image.

You can also see the bling I added to the pink oval around the image.  I used the Heartfelt Creation Rajni Chawla’s Crystal Clear glossy granules on the oval. The oval and first layer on the card are from Heartfelt Creations Flowering Dogwood Collection Designer Paper.

The second Splitcoaststampers.com challenge for which I made this card is the DTGD17CherylQuilts, Dare To Get Dirty challenge.  As I have shared in my last two posts, I cannot provide what this challenge entails.

To finish the card, I adhered the designer paper and floral image to a white card stock base and added some drops of Bubblegum Blush Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Thanks for stopping by Guneaux Designs to see my card featuring the Power Poppy Sunset Sway Digital Stamp.

Matthew 12:39 & 40

Jesus said, “A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a miraculous sign!  But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.  For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.”

DTGD17Benzi – Classic Petunia

Welcome!!  Are you thinking, “What is DTGD17Benzi – Classic Petunia“?  Just seeing the post title without the details would cause me to ask that question!  Let me explain.  DTGD17Benzi is the title of a Splitcoaststampers.com challenge.  It stands for Dare To Get Dirty (DTGD), 2017, hosted by “Benzi”, Brenda, a fantastic artist on Splitcoaststampers.com.  The Classic Petunia is the stamp set and dies I used when creating my card that I am sharing today.

The yearly DTGD challenges are for Club Members only of Splitcoaststampers.com.  If you are not a Club Member, you can become one by signing up on the Splitcoaststampers.com site.  Because the challenges are “secret”, I cannot share the details of the challenge featured on my card.

Here is my card that I made for Brenda’s DTGD Challenge, DTGD17Benzi – Classic Petunia.   The Heartfelt Creations Small Classic Petunia Stamp Set and Dies are the main features on this card.

Here are additional photos of the card:

Thanks for stopping by Guneaux Designs to see my DTGD17Benzi – Classic Petunia card!

NOTE:  Because the challenge is over, I can share the technique used.  It is the plastic wrap technique where you place water, followed by paint or watercolors, onto a piece of watercolor paper. Completely cover the panel with paint or watercolors and place a piece of plastic wrap over the watercolor panel ensuring it is completely covered with the wrap.  Move around the plastic wrap with your fingers to get a design on the paper.  Leave the plastic wrap on the watercolor panel until it drys (typically 12 – 24 hours).  Then remove the paper and enjoy your beautiful design!
