My friends, I have a card for you today that spotlights the Stampin’ Up! Venetian Romance Designer Series Paper. But first I want to apologize for not posting over the last several days. My brother became quite ill and I had to leave town unexpectedly. Thus I was unprepared regarding posting projects.
Back to the card. Notice the arrow in the following picture? That is the design I used from the Venetian Romance Designer Series Paper for a portion of the card. This design is not an exact match to the Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder, but it comes close enough that I used the embossing folder with the paper.
Here is the Venetian Romance Designer Series Paper card:
To make this card, I cut a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of the above-mentioned design from the Venetian Romance Designer Series Paper. Using the Stampin’ Up! Trimmer (see note below), I cut the piece into two triangles.
I cut a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock, placed it into the Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder, and ran it through the Big Shot. I covered a brayer with Tangerine Tango Classic Ink and ran it across the debossed side of the card stock. I cut the piece into two triangles.
I placed one triangle from both pieces onto the Tangerine Tango Card Stock card base after inserting three brads on each piece (see above picture). I used a small piece of the Soft Suede design from the Venetian Romance Designer Series Paper, matted it with Baked Brown Sugar Card Stock, and attached it over the two triangles.
For the sentiment, I stamped “heartfelt gratitude” in Tangerine Tango Classic Ink onto a Very Vanilla circle. The circle is matted with a Spellbinders die called, Splendid Circles.
I embossed a small piece of Tangerine Tango card stock with the Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder and cut out an Artisan Label with the Stampin’ Up! Artisan Label Punch. The label was attached to the bottom of the circle. To the side of the label, I added two flowers made with the Boho Blossoms Punch.
NOTE: If you have not purchased the Stampin’ Up! Trimmer, I encourage you to do so. I have used lots of trimmers, and I initially decided I would just keep and use my Fiskars instead of purchasing the Trimmer. However, I placed an order for Stampin’ Up! products and decided to get the Trimmer free with hostess dollars. I cannot express how very happy I am with the Trimmer. The cutting space is larger than usual and it cuts perfectly. The meansurements are exact, unlike some trimmers I’ve used. So, don’t hestitate to get it. I promise you will be happy you did.
God’s Blessings!
