ODBD Adirondack Chairs Beach Scene

ODBD Adirondack Chairs Beach Scene

Hello, and welcome to Guneaux Designs!  How have you been?  I have been quite busy creating cards for the Splitcoaststampers June Dirty Dozen Theme.  Therefore, it has been many days since I last posted.  Today’s post is a beach scene card that features the ODBD Adirondack Chairs stamp.

The main hostess for the Splitcoaststampers Color Challenge asked me to be a guest designer for the month of June.  I am excited and this is my first card for the June Color Challenges.  The colors for the challenge were selected by Pam MacKay, the hostess, and she selected the Stampin’ Up! colors of Marina Mist, Crumb Cake, and Cherry Cobbler.  This color combination is a fantastic one.  For dessert, Pam gave us an option to create a beach scene.

John 16:12-16

Jesus said to the disciples:  “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear.  But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth.  He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.  He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you.  All that belongs to the Father is mine.  That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is mine and make it known to you.  In a little while you will see me no more, and then after a little while you will see me.”

I do not have all of the SU colors, so I had to make some substitutions that are closely related to Pam’s colors.  To create the card, I cut an A2 size card base with a top fold. I used an ODBD rectangle die to cut out the center of the card base.

Then I stamped and colored the ODBD Adirondack Chairs image. Using SU Marina Mist, I sponged the sky and ocean.

I die cut a yacht and colored it a shade of cherry cobbler and crumb cake and added it to the scene. Then I added and heat set some Liquid Applique around the yacht and places in the water to create waves. Then, I attached the scene to the inside of the front of the card base.

I hope you enjoy my card and will take time to leave a comment!  Thank you for stopping by Guneaux Designs.
