Hero Arts MMH Kit June 2018 Beach Scene Card

Hero Arts MMH Kit June 2018 Beach Scene Card

Mary is our hostess for this week’s Color Challenge on Splitcoaststampers.  She gave us a beautiful color combination of SU Dapper Denim, Tangerine Tango, and Sahara Sand.  Her dessert option is to use SU Soft Suede.  I used all of the colors, or colors closely related, on my card.

Revelation 3:11-13

“I am coming soon.  Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.  Him who overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of my God.  Never again will he leave it.  I will write on him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on him my new name.  He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”

My card for the challenge is a beach scene because I just received the new Hero Arts My Monthly Kit for June 2018, and it is all about the sea and beach.  Therefore, I had to use it for this card.  Here is a photo of the kit and its contents:

  • 6″ x 8″ Clear Stamp Set

  • 12 Coordinating Frame Cuts

  • 4 Ink Cubes (Deep Ocean, Summer Sky, Soft Sky, Soft Granite)

  • Sand Embossing Powder 0.5 oz

  • Sea Foam Shimmer Spray 1 fl oz

  • Beach Enamel Stickers

This monthly kit is the best one yet. The included Sand Embossing Powder is remarkable as it looks like sand when it is heat set.  It is close in color to the SU Sahara Sand color.  I used it on the card for the sentiment, footprints, and frame.  Doesn’t the “hello” sentiment look like someone wrote it in the sand?

I created the ocean with stamps from the kit and blue colors, one of which is close in color to the SU Dapper Denim.  The sky and clouds are a light blue, and the clouds are covered with a White Puff Embossing Powder that raises more than usual when heat set.

I stamped the sailboat in Tangerine Tango and beach ball in Sahara Sand, Tangerine Tango, and Dapper Denim.  The rope corner die cut is made from Soft Suede cardstock.

When assembling the card, I attached the frame to the main panel with Double-Sided Foam Tape and the panel and frame to a piece of SU Dapper Denim cardstock.  This was attached with a strong adhesive to the white card base.

I greatly appreciate you stopping by and leaving a comment! I hope you find inspiration from my card.

  1. The special embossing powder is a lot of fun with these images. I bet you will use the water and cloud stamps over and over with other stamps, too. TFS!
