Heartfelt Creations Happy Time Treehouse
Hello, my friends! I hope you had a great weekend! Today I have for you a card I made featuring the Heartfelt Creations Happy Time Treehouse. I created the card in response to a Splitcoaststampers challenge to “Hug an Australian!” in celebration of Hug an Australian Day that falls on April 26 each year.
Proverbs 12:18-22
“A truthful witness gives honest testimony, but a false witness tells lies. Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing. Truthful lips endure forever, but a lying tongue lasts only a moment. There is deceit in the hearts of those who plot evil, but joy for those who promote peace. No harm befalls the righteous, but the wicked have their fill of trouble. The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in men who are truthful.”
One of the challenge’s options to celebrate this day was to use one of our Australian SCS artists’ techniques. Instead of a technique, this card represents a style (for lack of a better word). Susie (susie australia), an Australian artist on SCS, and her gorgeous whimsical house images came to my mind for the challenge. She knows that I love the whimsical houses she creates; therefore, I decided to try to create such a house. I could never create one as gorgeous as Susie’s, but I tried!
Because Susie seems to love doodling, I used a tangle pattern on the treehouse’s roof. It’s difficult to see as I colored it with three different colors.

This is so reminiscent of our Aussie friends! What lovely coloring, all around, but the treehouse and its roof are just perfect! Your beautiful, sunshiny scene with its fabulous field of flowers and trees is the perfect spot for this little tree house to reside! Your choice of mats are so complimentary to your scene. I just love the treehouse stamp; I think I’m feeling enabled!
