Whimsy Stamps Gone Fishing

Whimsy Stamps Gone Fishing

Hello, my friends!  Now that my Splitcoaststampers.com Dirty Dozen responsibilities are over for the month of April, I made a card to post to my site.  It features Whimsy Stamps Gone Fishing Stamp.  This card is a birthday card for my grandson who loves fishing and he turned 18 last week.  What a milestone for him.

Psalm 34:18-19

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.  A righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all; he protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken.”

Whimsy Stamps recently started making landscape scene stamps, and this is one of them.  As soon as it was released, I knew I had to have it.  It is a perfect masculine stamp and I will use it again for an upcoming masculine card I need to create.  When making this card, I initially tried water coloring the image.  I also wanted a “no-line” image.  I tried twice but wasn’t happy with the results.  Thus, I stamped the image with black ink onto a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock.

I used Copic Sketch Markers to color the image.  After finishing, I decided I wanted to cut a frame from the image.  Thus, I used a frame die from the Whimsy Stamps Shaker Maker Rectangle Die Set to die cut a frame.  I added layers of foam tape to the frame and added it and the remainder of the image onto a piece of brown cardstock.  With this design, the image carries over onto the frame.

Thank you for stopping by Guneaux Designs and leaving a comment.  I love reading your comments!
