Penny Black Crimson Blush Rose
Welcome to Guneaux Designs! I love the Penny Black Crimson Blush Rose stamp, and I am featuring it on my card today. I stamped the rose image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock. Using Copic Sketch Markers, I blended shades of light to dark pink alcohol ink onto the roses, and shades of green onto the leaves. Afterward, I used a dark pink Prismacolor pencil to add more color to enhance the image. Then I blended the pencil coloring with Gamsol.
1 John 3:11-15
“This is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another. Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother’s were righteous. Do not be surprised, my brothers, if the world hates you. We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. Anyone who does not love remains in death. Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him.”
With an unsteady hand, I tried using a modified version of the pointillism technique to add dots of a Pale Celestine copic sketch marker around the leaves and roses. I finished the image by adding a sentiment from the Hero Arts MMH March 2018 Kit and three clear sequins.
Using a CottageCutz Stitched Wide Rectangle Frames Die, I cut the outer edges of the finished image into a frame. As a result, the frame contains portions of the leaves and roses. I die cut two more frames from white cardstock and used Scotch foam mounting tape to adhere the three frames together.
To finish the card, I attached the image piece and frame onto a Essentials by Ellen White Linen card base.
I greatly appreciate your stopping by and leaving a comment to share your thoughts on this card. Have a blessed day!
