July 4th Table Decoration

July 4th Table Decoration

Happy 4th of July, my friends!!  I’m sharing today a July 4th Table Decoration that I made using the old Stampin’ Up! Petal Cone Die.  I made a similar decoration in 2012, and the complete instructions for creating one is found HERE.

Psalm 33:12

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for his inheritance.”

I made this decoration for yesterday’s Splitcoaststampers Color Challenge which was hosted by Stef (dahlia19).  She chose the perfect color combination of Real Red, Whisper White or Very Vanilla and Blueberry Bushel. Stef’s dessert option was to use an Americana or 4th of July theme on a project.

I made this table decoration using the old SU Petal Cone Die. I cut three Real Red “cones”, embossed them with a star embossing folder, stamped fireworks images with VersaMark ink onto each cone, and covered the images with white embossing powder and heat set the powder.

Using a strong adhesive, I glued the three “cones” together and fussy cut a bottom for the decoration.  Before adhering the bottom to the decoration, I glued a piece of Dry Foam (for silk floral arrangements) to the bottom.  I attached the bottom and inserted the decorations into the top of the cone and into the dry foam.

I die cut four blue stars and added them to the decorations. I added a red, white, and blue ribbon and a sentiment to the front.

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a wonderful and safe 4th of july!
