Hero Arts MMH Kit May 2018
Hello! I am just sharing a card I made in May, and it features the Hero Arts MMH Kit May 2018. The kit is wonderful as it is about young children and their swings, bikes, kites, and animals. The kit is called “Tree of Life” because the primary products are related to trees. I used the kit to create this card.
Revelation 3:8-10
“I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name. I will make those who are of the synagogue of Satan, who claim to be Jews though they are not, but are liars — I will make them come and fall down at your feet and acknowledge that I have loved you. Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth.”
The following is a photo of the items that came in the kit.
I used the Wax Paper Embossing Technique to make the card. I cut two 4″ x 5-1/4″ pieces of Neenah Solar White Cardstock for the technique. I embossed a piece of wax paper with a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder. Placing the embossed wax paper between the two pieces of cardstock (I ultimately used one piece) and into a piece of folded copy paper, I used a crafting iron to heat and transfer the wax to the cardstock. I removed the cardstock from the copy paper and wax paper. At this point, the embossing cannot be seen.
Using the new Hero Arts Reactive Ombre Ink in shades of green and turquoise, I swiped the ink pad across the embossing to get the wax paper embossing to show. Afterward, I spritzed water onto this piece.
Subsequently, I positioned the girl swinging, doggie, butterfly, additional leaves, and sentiment onto the embossed piece of cardstock using stamps from the kit. I covered them with VersaMark Ink and embossed the images with either white or brown embossing powder.
Then, I die cut the circular tree and leaves panel with one of the Hero Arts MMK dies from a piece of white cardstock. I adhered this to the embossed panel with foam tape and those two pieces to the card base.
If you haven’t tried this technique, I encourage you to do so as you can achieve interesting effects.
