Christmas Card With Tim Holtz Mixed Media Christmas Dies

Hello, my friends!  Thank you for taking time to visit Guneaux Designs!  Have you finished making your Christmas cards yet?  I still have a few more to make!  This Christmas card  features the Tim Holtz Mixed Media Christmas Dies, Tim Holtz Holiday Greens Dies, and the Die Cuts Inlay Technique.

Isaiah 9:6

“For to us a child is born, and to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders.  And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

I used the Die Cuts Inlay Technique to create the card by following these steps:

• Die cut the bottom corner of a piece of white card stock with the poinsettia die from the Tim Holtz Mixed Media Christmas Dies,
• Die cut the top left of the card stock with the holly die from the Tim Holtz Holiday Greens Dies,
• Cover completely the back of the die cut card stock with a strong double-sided adhesive (I used Be Creative Sookwang Double-Sided Tape) and turn the piece face up,
• Use the two dies mentioned above to die cut the poinsettias and holly from red and green card stock (it is critical to keep the pieces within the dies to make easier the transfer to the white die cut piece of card stock),
• Lay the dies with the pieces over the correct die cut section on the white card stock, matching them exactly, and
• Use a crafting tool to push each piece onto the adhesive on the white card stock.

If the die cut pieces do not remain within the dies, you will need to match the pieces to the cut outs on the white card stock.

To complete the card, I added sequins and sparkling glitter.
