Happy 4th of July 2017

Happy 4th of July 2017, everyone!!  I have a fireworks card to share for this day in which we celebrate the independence of United States of American from the British Empire!!  What a blessing this day was on July 4, 1776!

I created this card in response to a challenge to create a card “Show Your Patriotism!”.  Fireworks came to mind when I read the challenge on Splitcoaststampers.  When I lived in northern Virginia, we got the enjoy the fireworks on the mall in the District of Columbia!  What a treat that was!

To create the card, I embossed a piece of white card stock with a retired Stampin’ Up! (SU) Stars Embossing Folder and then used a Hero Arts die to cut twice the “fireworks” in the center of the card.  (You can see how I did this HERE.)  I mixed a retired SU Brilliant Blue Ink with a White Glitter Gel and applied it to some of the firework “sparkles”.  I added a piece of SU Red Glimmer paper behind the card front to show through the sparkles.  I added the sentiment, celebrate, and two brad stars.  I then attached this piece to a Brilliant Blue card base.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY 2017!!!  I HOPE YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS!
