Gate Fold Card In The Shape of an ODBD Die
Special card folds is a category for the Splitcoaststampers.com Dirty Dozen June Theme, “Keeping Score”. One of my favorite card folds is one that I created in 2013 and that is a gate fold card in the form of a die. I have created many cards this way and thoroughly enjoy it. This is a gate fold card in the shape of an ODBD die, the largest die from the Lavish Layers Dies.
2 Thessalonians 2:1-4
Apostle Paul’s letter to the Thessalonians says, “Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers, not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by some prophecy, report or letter supposed to have come from us, saying that the day of the Lord has already come. Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come UNTIL [emphasis added] the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.”
To create the gate-fold card, I cut a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ piece of cardstock, scored and folded it, centered the ODBD die onto the folded card, and ran it through my die-cutting machine several times. The result is a 4-7/8″ x 7-1/4″ card with a 2″ center for a message. When closed, the card is the size and shape of the largest die in the ODBD Lavish Layers Die set.
To decorate the card, I added Heartfelt Creation Butterfly Dreams designer paper, sentiment, and butterfly.
Thanks for stopping by Guneaux Designs! Have a great day and come back soon!
