Little Angel Mother Whimsy Stamps – Happy Mother’s Day

Recall that I shared in Sunday’s post that I would share the Whimpsy Stamps Mother’s Day card that I made for my daughter this year.  Here it is.  I LOVE this card, especially the Little Angel Mother Whimsy Stamp image.  It reminds me so much of my daughter holding my special granddaughter, Mikayla, shortly after her birth.  When I saw the digital stamp on Whimsy Stamps site, I knew I had to have it because I saw my daughter and granddaughter in the image right away.  To that end, the image was too perfect to pass up.

Revelation 2:20-23

“Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess.  By her teaching, she misleads my servants into sexual immorality and the eating of food sacrificed to idols.  I have given her time to repent of her immorality, but she is unwilling.  So I will cast her on a bed of suffering and I will make those who commit adultery with her suffer intensely, unless they repent of their ways.  I will strike her children dead.  Then all the churches will know that I am he who searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you according to your deeds.“  

I colored the image to represent my daughter with her long blonde hair and Mikayla with dark blonde hair that she had when born  (her hair is now light blonde).  The colors that my daughter and granddaughter love are pink and purple.  Thus, I used those colors for the image.

I stamped with VersaMark Ink the Lilies, my daughter’s favorite flower, covered the images with white embossing powder, die cut them, and watercolored them in shades of purple.  I attached them along the bottom of the image.
