Welcome!! Thanks for stopping by to enjoy my Heartfelt Creations Sparkling Poinsettia Card.
This week’s featured stamper on Splitcoaststampers.com was Christine Alexander (aka – calex). She certainly deserved this recognition as her gallery displays gorgeous artwork featuring many techniques.
I selected this sparkling poinsetta card to case. As soon as I saw the card, I knew it was the one for me to case as I love cards that feature poinsettias. The only similarity between Christine and my cards is a poinsettia.
I used the Heartfelt Creations Sparkling Poinsettia Stamp Set to stamp the poinsettias with VersaMark® Watermark Ink, cover with white embossing powder, and heat set them. I cut out the vellum poinsettias with the Heartfelt Creations Sparkling Poinsettia Die.
I colored the back of each poinsettia with a blue ink and the leaves with green ink. I glued two or three together to create the flower. I used three sets of the poinsettias on my card. The center pieces (i.e., stamen) are covered with yellow prills.
As you can see in the above photo, I used a border die to cut at an angle the background piece. The background is from the Heartfelt Creations Snow Kissed Collection designer paper (what a beautiful collection of designs). I cut the top portion of the paper at an angle using the Heartfelt Creations Fleur Border Basics Dies. I joined the two pieces and covered the back with a wide Be Creative double sided tape. Then I covered the die cut section with Rajni Chawla’s Crystal Clear granules for sparkle.
I attached the elements to a Neenah Solar White Card Stock card base and added a sentiment from the Heartfelt Creations Uplifting Scriptures Stamps.
Now that you have viewed my Heartfelt Creations Sparkling Poinsettia Card, what are your thoughts about it?
