Heartfelt Creations Frolicking Frosty Collection
“Christmas in July!” During the month of July, I see those words a lot while surfing crafting sites on the Internet. Thus, I decided to share with you today a Christmas card. It is a card I made as a “Dirty Girl” for Splitcoaststampers, and it features the Heartfelt Creations Frolicking Frosty Collection.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails…”
The Dirty Dozen theme for which I created this card was, “Cut to the Punchline”. Some interpretations for the theme were:
- Use dies or punches on your card,
- Create a humorous card,
- Divide your sentiment so the “punchline” is inside the card, and
- Search for “die” or “punch” in the Splitcoaststampers tutorial section for ideas.
I had fun creating this card, but it took some time. It has 17 die cuts on it! They are 1 snowman, 6 trees, 1 navy oval, 4 white eyelet ovals, 1 snow bank, 3 for the sentiment, and 1 snowflake. How is that for “cut[ting] to the punchline”?
The card is also a humorous card, or I should say, it is intended to be humorous. I created the “humorous” sentiment using MSWord. I printed it on white cardstock and cut it out. The sentiment is, “Where Does A Snowman Keep His Money?”. When viewing the sentiment and the scene, please notice the money in the snowman’s left hand. The answer to the question is, “In A Snow Bank”.
To create the card, I stamped/colored, embossed, and/or die cut the trees, Frosty, navy oval, snow bank, snowflake, and 4 white eyelet ovals (glued together). I added designer paper to the card base and assembled the card, fitting the trees and Frosty on the side of the navy and white eyelet oval die cuts.
Thanks for viewing and commenting!!
