Accordion Fold Card HFC Butterfly Dreams
Hello, my friends! Now that summer is here, I am beginning to see lots of butterflies of all types around my yard. Thus, I decided to create this card that features the Heartfelt Creations (HFC) Butterfly Dreams collection.
John 16:5-11
Jesus said to the disciples regarding the Holy Spirit: “Now I am going to him who sent me, yet none of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’. Because I have said these things you are filled with grief. But I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment: in regard to sin, because men do not believe in me; in regard to righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; and in regard to judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.”
This card is an accordion fold card. To create the card, I cut a 5-1/4″ x 9-1/2″ piece of white cardstock and scored it at the 1-1/2″, 2-1/2″, 4″, and 5-1/2″ measurements. After folding the cardstock on the score lines, I cut, scored, and adhered a piece of HFC Butterfly Dreams patterned paper onto the white cardstock. Then I cut and scored a piece of Bazzill Mulberry cardstock and added it to the back of the white cardstock (that was an afterthought).
I used the HFC Butterfly Dreams Border stamp to create the butterfly border on the far left side of the card. I covered the stamp with VersaMark Ink, stamped it, covered the image with white embossing powder, and heat set it. I colored the butterflies and flowers using Copics and die cut the border with the HFC Butterfly Dreams Border Die. I cut out two vellum butterflies using the same die and colored the back and added some glitter elements.
The back panel of the card contains the sentiment and a pocket that holds a tag that I made with an HFC Border Die, Sizzix Tag Set Die, and Butterfly Dreams patterned paper.
