Penny Black Dressed in Snow Card

PENNY BLACK DRESSED IN SNOW CARD

Hello, my friends!! I hope you are having a wonderful start of the New Year!!  Thank you for stopping by Guneaux Designs and supporting me by leaving comments.  I love reading your comments; they inspire me!

I have a card share for you that features Penny Black’s Dressed in Snow stamp.  I love her stamps of winter scenes as is this one.

Isn’t this “chilly” thank you card perfect for this time of year!

James 4:3-6

When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.  You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God?  Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.  Or do you think Scripture says without reason that the spirit he caused to live in us envies intensely?”

I prepared this card to submit to a Splitcoaststampers Clean and Simple Challenge on  Monday.  The hostess of the challenge wanted to see Thank You cards with a chilly scene.

This card was easy to make, and it features one of Penny Black’s gorgeous winter scene stamps. The MISTI was a very handy tool to use in making this card as I stamped the image several times. I colored with markers various sections of the stamp and stamped them onto a piece of white card stock. I repeated this process several times until I achieved the desired color for each section.

After covering the image with VersaMark Ink and heat embossing with clear embossing powder, I used a VersaMark pen to add more clear embossing powder in areas that I wanted to appear as snow.

I sponged distress oxide inks on the piece after adding a circular piece of masking tape for the moon. I splattered copic white paint over the card for snow, and added the Thanks sentiment.

Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment!

  1. This is a beautiful winter scene. I love that you gave the details on how you made this. This is all the winter scene I want to see today and not the one we are going to see in our area this evening. 🙂
