Day of Gratitude Stamp Set

The Stampin’ Up! (SU) Day of Gratitude Stamp Set is one of my favorite SU stamp sets for the Autumn.  And the beautiful Autumn Spice Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) that goes with the stamp set is one of my favorite SU DSP.  Although both are retired products, I decided to use them to create my gratitude gate fold card.

Day of Gratitude Stamp Set and SU Floral Frames Framelits

Isn’t the name of the DSP so appropriate for this time of the year?  What comes to your mind when you think, “Autumn Spice”?  I think of fall apples and the products that are made with them.  For example, spicy apple butter, spicy apple cider, apple pie, and other yummy products.  The “spice of autumn” brings to my mind leaves turning to beautiful colors, leaves falling from the trees, and children playing in piles of leaves.  OK, so much for that!!

Day of Gratitude Stamp SetI created the Day of Gratitude gate fold card by using the SU’s Floral Frames Framelits. In 2012, I first published the method for folding card stock and using SU framelits to create a gate fold card.  Click HERE and you’ll find a tutorial on using the SU framelits to create a gate fold card.

Day of Gratitude Stamp SetThe above pictures are closeups of the sentiment which is part of the Day of Gratitude Stamp Set.  I really like the medallion that I fussy cut from the DSP, covered it with Stampin’ Up! Crystal Effect, and added a drop of Ranger Yellow Stickels.

As you can see in the following picture, I added foam adhesive dots to the layers of the sentiment to give the card so dimensions.

DAY OF GRATITUDE STAMP SET GATE FOLD CARD

Stampin Up Happy Scenes-Bohemian DSP

Hello Stampers and Friends!  Today I have a card for you that I made with the Stampin Up Happy Scenes stamp set and Bohemian Designer Series Paper (DSP).  I used two stamps from the Stampin Up Happy Scenes photopolymer stamp set and a brayer to create this “happy scene”!  I initially planned to use the Stampin Up Hearth and Home Thinlits Dies that come with the Happy Scenes Photopolymer Bundle (140853). Unfortunately, the thinlits dies are on back order and did not arrive with my order (sad face)!  Regardless, I improvised.

I improvised by using the Spellbinders Leafy Squares Nestabilities Decorative Elements, which are small squares.  The 3″ x 3″ scene that I designed fits perfectly inside the largest Leafy Square cutout.   The Leafy Squares dies cut out tiny leaves when they are run through the Big Shot. You can see the cute little leaves lying on the envelope in the above picture, however, the following picture shows them better.

The stamps within the Stampin Up Happy Scenes stamp set are small and are intended to create a small “scene”.  You can get a good sense for the size of the stamps in the following picture:

As you can see in the following closeup of the scene, I used the pine trees and fall tree stamps from the Stampin Up Happy Scenes stamp set.

I did not want to waste the tiny leaf cutouts so I included them beneath the trees on the front and inside of my card.

Stampin' Up! Triple Treat Flower and Spice Cake DSP

Hello, my friends, and Happy Monday!   I have for you today a Stampin’ Up! Greeting Card that is so simple and yet beautiful and it features the Stampin’ Up! Triple Treat Flower and the Spice Cake DSP This card is made with the Pool Party and Soft Suede design from the DSP, thus, the colors of card stock used.

The Triple Treat Flower stamp (page 18 of the large catalog) matches certain designs of the Spice Cake DSP.  The Fancy Flower Punch is a perfect match for punching out the flower once it is stamped on cardstock.  The center of this flower is embellished with Stampin’ Up!’s Basic Pearls.  The pearls add such a nice touch to any card.

The “Grateful” greeting is from the Always Thankful Stamp Set on page 19 of theStampin’ Up! Holiday Mini Catalog.  The wonderful Decorative Label Punch was used to punch out the greeting as well as to create a mat for it.

Going down the center of the card is a punched ribbon from the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch.  I need to use that punch more often as it is a cool embellishment.  The corners of the cardstock and DSP were punched with the Ticket Corner punch.

Gee, I used four different Stampin’ Up! punches on this card.  What is your favorite Stampin’ Up! punch?  Whoever is the first to guess which punch (not necessarily used on this card) is my favorite will receive this card in the mail!

I hope you have a blessed day, and enjoy making Stampin’ Up! Greeting Cards.
