Side Step Card
Hello, friends, visitors, and crafters! I have a side step card that I made while serving as a member of the Splitcoaststampers “Dirty Girls”. Now that I have completed my time as a “Dirty Girl”, I am allowed to share the card. That’s the rule, and I have to follow it!!!
Hebrews 13:15 & 16
“Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise — the fruit of lips that confess his name. And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.”
I made this card for my 3-year old granddaughter for Easter and she loved it. Come along with me and I’ll show you around. Before you step into my home, please wipe your shoes on the blue rug after you have stepped up to the royal blue door.
Open the door by turning the silver embossed doorknob, and be careful not to swing the door so wide that it hits my topiaries in the granite stone urns by the door.
Oh gee, LaLa is lying right in front of the door on her blue rug that I laid down on the wood floor for her to keep warm. You can gently rub the puppy’s head, but don’t wake her up. After passing by LaLa, notice my recent piece of art, a bunny, in the picture frame hanging on the light yellow wall.
Oh, when you pulled into the driveway, did you notice the beautiful bunnies in my tulip patch? Each of the bunnies snapped off a tulip and is proudly holding it in its hand. Earlier today, they looked at me rather sheepishly as they know I do not like them in the tulip patch.
Come along into the kitchen and we shall have some strawberries. Before you sit down, come to look out my window. Ignore my black and white cat on the window sill. She always sits in the window and sometimes nips at my flowers in the pot.
Look out the window at the new hybrid flower bush that I ordered from Brecks last winter. It is already in bloom with tulips, daisies, and other beautiful flowers. The Brecks horticulturist did a fabulous job of creating such a flower bush.
While we’re looking out the window, please notice my strawberry plants. I picked some strawberries today and we will enjoy them together as soon as I get out my Reddi Whip cream. Sit down and enjoy them. Aren’t they so sweet and delicious?
Thanks for letting me show you around my card! your comments are welcomed! come back soon!

Adorable Bev, so many cute details…
Oh my Bev, what a darling little scene you created on this side step card. Of course my eye was drawn to the puppy in the house, but the gardens look wonderful. Love the fresh colors you chose. Lovely design. Lucky recipient.

What a heart-warming beauty, Bev!! Your attention to each perfect detail from the glass in the picture frame to the flowers in the bunnies’ hands makes this card an exquisite treasure!! Such remarkable work with all of your wonderful die cuts. You have made this side-step design something very special indeed!
I am not sure what I like best, Bev, your narrative or your incredibly detailed card. How fun is this? You added so much to this and loved the story. I’m also impressed that a 3 year old appreciated this enough to know a work of heart. This is amazing and just so fun too. Fabulous job on this!
