Penny Black Spontaneous Joy
Hello, my friends! I have been unavailable because of an illness, and today I am feeling better and wanted to get to my craft room and create. The card I created features the beautiful and new Penny Black Spontaneous Joy stamp. I submitted this card for this week’s Inspiration and Color Challenges on Splitcoaststampers. I selected the two mentioned challenges to get my creative juices flowing again. You can see all the wonderful comments made on my card by clicking HERE.
1 Thessalonians 5:12-15
“Now we ask you, brothers, to respect those who work hard among you, who are over you in the Lord [emphasis added] and who admonish you. Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other. And we urge you, brothers, warn those who are idle, encourage the timid, help the weak, be patient with everyone. Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always try to be kind to each other and to everyone else.”
Julie, the hostess for the Inspiration Challenge, selected a wonderful website for the challenge today, and I selected this beautiful color palette for coloring the image on my card.
Karen BB, the hostess for the Color Challenge, selected this color combination: Stampin’ Up! Rich Razzleberry, Garden Green, and Sweet Sugarplum. These colors are great together and I used them to color the floral image as they are like the color palette I chose.
I viewed one of Jill Foster’s videos for ideas on coloring and framing the Penny Black Spontaneous Joy stamp. After coloring the image, I used Frog Tape to mask an inch on all sides to create a frame.
Then I used Stampin’ Up! Crumb Cake ink to sponge color around the mask and stamp light images within the frame.
I like the outcome of the card, and it is for my daughter’s birthday, which is tomorrow.
Thank you for stopping by Guneaux Designs and leaving a comment!
