Penguin Hugs | Whimsy Stamps

Aren’t these penguins adorable?  The stamp, Penguin Hugs by Whimsy Stamps, from the Chrissy Armstrong Collection, is such a lovely image.  What could be more heartwarming than being hugged and told that you are loved?

Revelation 3:8-10

“I know your deeds.  See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut.  I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.  I will make those who are of the synagogue of Satan, who claim to be Jews though they are not, but are liars — I will make them come and fall down at your feet and acknowledge that I have loved you.  Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth.”

I covered the penguin image with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and stamped it onto a piece of X-Press It Blending CS. I used Copic Sketch Markers to color the image and cut it out with a rectangle die.

To frame the image, I used the Hero Arts Nesting Rectangle Infinity Dies to cut two, one smaller than the other, and glued the smaller one to the back of the larger one. Then I used the ODBD Pierced Rectangles Dies to cut another rectangle that is a size in between the other two. I colored this frame with a Copic marker and attached it in the middle of the other two rectangles frames.

For the sentiment, I covered three stamps from the MMH January kit with SU Pixie Pink ink and stamped them onto a rectangle piece of CS. I used VersaMark Ink around the edges of the rectangle and covered and heat embossed it with Hero Arts Prisma Embossing powder.
