Lawn Fawn Christmas Dreams & Shut the Front Door
Hello, and thanks for stopping by. Last Saturday, Splitcoaststampers provided a wonderful site for its Inspiration Challenge. I saw the following Christmas card on the site and it inspired me to create a shadow box card.
Here is a photo of the shadow box card that I made. I did not have a nutcracker stamp, so there are none sitting at the front entrance. The lights are turned off inside; therefore, it may be difficult to see inside. However, do not be concerned as I have other photos that show the inside.
Luke 22:47-51
(Jesus being arrested) “While he [Jesus] was still speaking a crowd came up, and the man who was called Judas, one of the Twelve, was leading them. He approached Jesus to kiss him, but Jesus asked him, “Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?” When Jesus’ followers saw what was going to happen, they said, “Lord, should we strike with our swords?” And one of them struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his right ear. But Jesus answered, “No more of this!” And he touched the man’s ear and healed him.”
The following photos are of the outside and inside pieces of the shadow box before gluing them together.
I created the shadow box, attached Heartfelt Creations Plaid Designer Paper around the box, and adhered the inside scene to the back of the box.
Then I added the front piece to the box.
When the door is open, you can see the fire burning as it casts a highlight onto the puppy.
The door swings in the opposite direction as it does in the inspiration piece. As you will notice in the following photo, the red door is white on the inside.
I hope you enjoyed my shadow box. I think I will add a card base to the back before I give it to the recipient, my precious granddaughter.
I GREATLY APPRECIATE YOU STOPPING BY AND LEAVING A COMMENT. I WILL RETURN YOUR KINDNESS IF YOU LEAVE YOUR WEB ADDRESS!
COMMENTS WILL BE VISIBLE UPON APPROVAL.
