Altenew Beautiful Day
Flowers!! Beautiful flowers come to my mind when springtime arrives. It is a time when perennial plants emerge from the ground, grow, and bloom into beautiful flowers. Thinking of this, my first card for the Dirty Dozen’s March monthly theme was to include flowers. The card features the Aletnew Beautiful Day Stamp Set, and I could not release it until I finished my time as a Dirty Girl!
Ephesians 2:11-13
“Therefore, remember you who are Gentiles by birth and called “uncircumcised” by those who call themselves “the circumcision” (that done in the body by the hands of men) – remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Isreal and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ.”
To create the card, I die cut a piece of Neenah Desert Storm cardstock using a die from the Spellbinders’ Valiant Honor Die set. On this piece of cardstock, I stamped with VersaMark ink images from the Altenew Beautiful Day stamps, using masking paper where necessary.
I covered the ink with white embossing powder and melted it with a heat gun. Then I colored the flowers using pink, peach, violet, and white Prismacolor pencils. I finished the card by adding white specks from a white pigment ink pen and adding sequins. A sentiment will be added to the card when I know to whom the card will be sent.
Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving a comment! I love reading them! I hope you return soon!
