Crimson Blush Stamp by Penny Black

Crimson Blush Stamp by Penny Black

Hello, my special friends.  Thank you so much for stopping by Guneaux Designs.  I have for you today a card featuring the Crimson Blush Stamp by Penny Black.  This stamp is fantastic and there are so many possibilities for its use.  I must admit that I hesitated to purchase it though as I was not confident enough to color a rose.  This stamp took away that fear.  I love the stamp!!!  This is one of the cards I created with the stamp.

Hebrews 11:1-3

“Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.  This is what the ancients were commended for.  By faith we understand that the universe was formed at Gods command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.”

I created this card for this week’s Color Challenge on Splitcoaststampers.com.  The hostess, Pam MacKay, chose Stampin’ Up! (SU) So Saffron, Marina Mist, and Pear Pizzazz for her color combination.  These colors are a gorgeous combination.  Pam’s “dessert option” is to create an Easter or spring card.

I have a gorgeous rose bush and it is in bloom with big, beautiful roses this year.  Thus, I decided to create a spring card with roses for the challene.  I stamped the Penny Black Crimson Rose stamp at various angles onto a piece of Neenah Solar White card stock.  I then selected copic sketch markers that closely match the challenge colors to color the roses in shades of blue, yellow, and green.

Afterward, I used the old SU Spritzer and So Saffron Marker to spritz ink over the card and added Nuvo crystal drops and sequins.  Then I used a light blue copic marker around the flowers and edges.  This and the spritzed So Saffron ink gives the card a pinkish color in the white space.  I do not know what caused that except maybe camera problems.

In the next two photos, you can see better the spritzed yellow ink.

I hope you enjoyed your visit and are inspired by my card.  Happy crafting!  I would be thrilled if you took time to leave a comment!  Have a blessed day!

  1. This is a wonderful card. I really like the stamp and found it fun that you colored it two different colors! I really love the spritzes in the background and those cute floral gems. It really makes the whole card look polished.

  2. Absolutely gorgeous, Beverly!! What a stunning frame your blue and yellow roses make for this wonderful scripture!!
