Paisley Petals DSP Purse

I’m excited to share with you today my personally-designed Stampin’ Up! Paisley Petals DSP Purse.  As I said yesterday, I’m so in love with the Stampin’ Up! Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper that becomes available April 1-30, and then again with the rollout of the big summer catalog.
I personally designed the pattern for this purse, and I am very happy with the design.  I hope you like it too.

I decorated the purse’s closure with one of the elegant Trinket Crowns (love the crowns). I hand stitched around the closure piece and added Velcro for the fastener. I would love to know what you think of it, so please leave a comment. Thanks!

Birthday Card Idea

Looking for a Birthday Card idea?  This Birthday Card is one you can make for a special female.  This Stampin Up card is one I made for my daughter’s birthday.  It features the Stampin Up colors, Pear Pizzazz and Rich Razzleberry, which go together beautifully.

I used the Stampin Up Designer Series Paper (DSP), Springtime Vintage, for the primary layer of the card.  I love this DSP, and will be sad when it goes away at the end of the month (crossiBirthday Card - Springtime Vintage DSPng my fingers that it will be a carryover).  I turned up the lower-right side of the DSP to display both sides as they are equally beautiful.  Purchase Springtime Vintage before March 31!

This Birthday Card features four Stampin Up stamp sets:  Fifth Avenue FloralYou’re a Gem, Clearly for You, and Curly Cute.  I used the water coloring technique on the Rich Razzleberry flower from the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set.  The Pear Pizzazz and So Saffron Classic Stampin’ Inks were used for the center of the flower.  I really like how it turned out.

Black Magic Technique – Easter Blossoms

Workshop hostesses are very special people to me, and I greatly appreciate them. I wanted to let my last workshop hostess know how much I appreciate her preparation efforts; therefore, I created this card for her using the black magic technique.
Easter Blossoms
The black magic technique involves Black Card Stock (couldn’t there be a better name?). I had not used this technique before but plan to use it again. The card stock was cut using the Oval Scallop Frame Bigz Die.

The card features Stampin’ Up! Easter Blossoms Stamp Set in the 2011 Occasions Mini Catalog. I stamped the blossoms onto the card stock with Whisper White Craft Ink. After allowing the ink to dry, I used the Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Pencils to color the blossoms. The blossoms are matted with a Petals-A-Plenty embossed piece of Pixie Pink Card Stock (retired). The Wild Wasabi Card Stock is also enbossed with the same Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

The card front is embellished with the wonderful Subtles Glimmer Brads. If you haven’t purchased any of the Glimmer Brads, you should. You won’t regret having such beautiful embellishments.

Stampin Up Valentine Card and Owl Punch

Today’s share is a Stampin Up Valentine Card featuring the Stampin Up Owl Punch and the owl stamp from the Stampin Up (SU) Sale-a-bration Punch Bunch Stamp Set. This stamp set is free with the purchase of $50 in SU products or a $300 net sales workshop.

This Stampin Up Valentine Card is meant for a best girlfriend. The sentiment, Whooose Your Valentine?” and the stamp, “Friend” is meant to be read as, “Whooose your Valentine, Friend?” The sentiment, “Whooose Your Valentine”, was made with My Digital Studio (MDS) and cut with the banner portion of the wonderful Petal Cone Bigz Die. (Isn’t it great that if you don’t have a stamp that meets your need, all you need to do is create it with MDS?)

Stampin Up Petal Cone Die

The Stampin Up Petal Cone Die is quite versatile as the things you create with it are limited to your imagination.  I have to admit that I did not purchase the die with my first Occasions Mini order as I wasn’t sure if I would use it.  However, I later purchased it and I am so glad I did.  I am finding myself thinking of many ways to use the Stampin Up Petal Cone Die.  Buy the die; you’ll enjoy it.

My second creation with the die is a Pink Pirouette Valentine Card.  I used the Stampin’ Up! Manhattan Flower Textured Embossing Folder on the card front and outlined the embossing with a VersaMarker Watermark Pen.  Next I used the Stampin’ Up! Silver Embossing Powder to make the flowers pop.  Outlining the embossing with the watermark pen is a little difficult if your hand is not completely steady, like mine.  However, try it; you’ll like it.

Stampin Up Petal Cone Bigz Die

How to create this type of card?  Run card stock and the die through your Big Shot, glue the two flaps together, use your bone folder to crisply fold the card, and cover the flaps (which will be on the inside of the card) with other card stock or, as I did, Designer Series Paper (Love Impressions).  Decorate the card to your pleasing.
