Stampin Up Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Series Paper

I love the Stampin Up Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Series Paper (DSP)!  I used it to create this beautiful Stampin’ Up! Christmas Card.  And, in case you’ve not noticed, I love this type of fold for a card.  The card is folded from one 12″ x 12″ piece of paper from the Stampin Up Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Series Paper package.

Stampin Up Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Series PaperThis is a picture of the card’s inside.  The sparkly scalloped piece rests on a fold. The fold leaves an opening for a gift card or personal note to be inserted.  There is actually the same type of fold with an opening on the front of the card.

Stampin Up Day of Gratitude

One of my favorite stamp sets is the Stampin Up Day of Gratitude. This week I will think about the many things for which I am grateful as it relates to Stampin’ Up!. Stampin Up Day of Gratitude

As I was deciding what card to make for today, I thought how grateful I am for the SU My Digital Studio (MDS) that allows me to create cards and scrapbook pages with retired stamps, embellishments, and Designer Series Papers (DSP).  I loved last year’s Autumn Spice DSP that was in the Holiday Mini Catalog, which has retired.  However, I knew I had the Autumn Spice Digital Kit that would allow me to create a card with some of the DSP.

Therefore, I used two designs from the digital DSP to create the first layer on this Stampin Up Day of Gratittude card. Although I have the Autumn Spice Digital Kit that includes the sentiment that I used, I also have the Stampin Up Day of Gratitude stamp set.  Therefore, I used the sentiment stamp from the Stampin Up Day of Gratitude stamp set for the sentiment.

I made the Cajun Craze mat behind the sentiment with a tag from the Lots of Tags Sizzlits Die Set and embossed it with clear embossing powder. The leaves, which are also embossed, are from the Leaves #2 Original Die (love this die). Can you see the heart that I formed with the stems of the two leaves?  I thought that would be cool for a “Gratitude” card. The center of the heart is embellished with a Basic Rhinestone. Lastly, the ribbon across the front of the card is Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon which is no longer available.

You can purchase the products used for this project by clicking on the links above or my SU store link below.

For those of you in the U.S., I hope you are thinking about the things for which you are grateful this week!

Zentangle Maple Leaf

I love creating art using zentangling, therefore, I have for you today a Zentangle Maple Leaf card.  Actually, the correct action word is tangling when speaking of performing the art.

I think the fall time of the year is so beautiful, and I don’t get to experience the beautiful transformation of trees while living in Florida. To create my own feel of the fall, I made this Zentangle Maple Leaf card.

 Zentangle Maple Leaf

I used eight different, official Zentangle® patterns on the maple leaf. The fun of zentangling is that you can create your own patterns if desired; however, I choose official patterns.

For some history about Zentangle®, it is a new form of art created by Maria Thomas and Rick Roberts. Because I am not a Certified Zentangle® Teacher, I prefer not to attempt to teach how to zentangle. However, you can learn more about this new art on Maria and Rick’s website, http://www.zentangle.com.

As for the Stampin’ Up! products used for the card, they are:

Stampin Up Day of Gratitude

This Stampin Up Day of Gratitude card is dedicated to my friends and family.  I am very grateful for each and everyone of you!

Stampin Up Day of Gratitude

This card features the Stampin’ Up! Day of Gratitude stamp set and Spice Cake Designer Series Paper (DSP). The DSP is so beautiful with many fall colors, and just the name of it, Spice Cake, makes me think, “Yummy”!

I made the card base from Whisper White card stock, which I scored in the form of an “X” with the Stampin’ Up! Simply Scoring Tool.  I then cut a piece of the DSP in the form of an “X” and adhered the pieces onto the card front with two front sides and two back sides of the DSP showing.

The card’s center piece is made of Pool Party card stock, the medallion stamp from the Stampin Up  Day of Gratitude stamp set, a More Mustard Spice Cake Designer Button, and an Antique Brad. I made the “Grateful For You!” greeting with My Digital Studio. I used More Mustard, Pool Party, and Lucky Limeade Stampin’ Write Markers (which you can buy individually) to color the medallion.

Stampin’ Up! Triple Treat Flower and Spice Cake DSP

Stampin’ Up! Triple Treat Flower and Spice Cake DSP

Stampin' Up! Triple Treat Flower and Spice Cake DSP

Hello, my friends, and Happy Monday!   I have for you today a Stampin’ Up! Greeting Card that is so simple and yet beautiful and it features the Stampin’ Up! Triple Treat Flower and the Spice Cake DSP This card is made with the Pool Party and Soft Suede design from the DSP, thus, the colors of card stock used.

The Triple Treat Flower stamp (page 18 of the large catalog) matches certain designs of the Spice Cake DSP.  The Fancy Flower Punch is a perfect match for punching out the flower once it is stamped on cardstock.  The center of this flower is embellished with Stampin’ Up!’s Basic Pearls.  The pearls add such a nice touch to any card.

The “Grateful” greeting is from the Always Thankful Stamp Set on page 19 of theStampin’ Up! Holiday Mini Catalog.  The wonderful Decorative Label Punch was used to punch out the greeting as well as to create a mat for it.

Going down the center of the card is a punched ribbon from the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch.  I need to use that punch more often as it is a cool embellishment.  The corners of the cardstock and DSP were punched with the Ticket Corner punch.

Gee, I used four different Stampin’ Up! punches on this card.  What is your favorite Stampin’ Up! punch?  Whoever is the first to guess which punch (not necessarily used on this card) is my favorite will receive this card in the mail!

I hope you have a blessed day, and enjoy making Stampin’ Up! Greeting Cards.

Stampin Up Frightful Sight DSP – Halloween Card

My card for you today is made primarily with Stampin’ Up!’s My Digital Studio (MDS) and the Stampin Up Frightful Sight DSP Digital download. The Designer Series Paper (DSP) used for this card is the Digital Frightful Sight DSP (the non-digital Frightful Sight DSP is on pages 22 & 185 of the Stampin’ Up! Idea Book and Catalog 2011-2012).

I chose the spider design from the Stampin Up Frightful Sight DSP for the first card layer, and I enlarged it through MDS to get larger spiders on the DSP. That’s one of many things I love about MDS – you can manipulate the items to fit your needs!

Stampin Up Frightful Sight DSP

The second card layer is a spider web that I drew by hand. The spider hanging from the “trick or treat” greeting is one that I cut out of the DSP and embellished it with Crystal Effects.

The frightful cat (lol) is from the MDS Cute Cats Stamp Brush Set, which is unavailable. (That is one of the great things about Stampin’ Up!’s MDS – once you’ve downloaded a item, it’s available for use forever – it NEVER retires!) And, that little bell around the cat’s neck – isn’t is so darling? It is a Stampin’ Up! Mini Jingle Bell from the current Holiday Mini Catalog. (I think most stampers think of only using the bells on Christmas items.) I attached the bell with Stampin’ Up!’s White Baker’s Twine that I rolled on my Basic Black Stampin’ Pad to turn it black. Isn’t it so cute? I also used the twine for the string that the spider is hanging from.

The cat’s hat is from MDS Jack of all Trades Stamp Brush Set, which I enlarged slightly and embellished it also with Crystal Effects.

Last, but not least, the greeting is from MDS Spooky Things Stamp Brush Set (unavailable) that I also manipulated to the size I wanted and punched it out with the Modern Label Punch and matted it with the a cut-out from the Stampin’ Up! Movers & Shapers, Punch Windows.
