Faberge-Styled Easter Egg

Hello, my friends, I have for you a Faberge-Styled Easter Egg!   But first I want to share why I have been absent from my blog for several days. I have been out of town taking care of my brother, Bill, who was in a grave health situation. With powerful prayers and the grace of God, a miracle occurred with him and I praise God for His healing blessings. My brother has a long journey to a complete recovery, so if you have an inclination to pray for him, your prayers would be greatly appreciated. I plan to get back to daily postings.

For today, I am sharing a cute Faberge-Styled Easter Egg that I made with a 6″ x 4″ egg-shaped piece of Styrofoam.

Faberge-Styled Easter EggIsn’t she cute!  I cut an opening in the front of the Styrofoam egg and then removed most of the inside. I used a craft paint to paint the inside pink and the outside yellow. I placed some carefully-cut Lucky Limeade card stock just inside the opening for grass. I stamped two flowers and glued them on small pieces of floral wire and placed them inside behind the grass. At the back of the inside I placed the primary element of the egg – the cute bunny. To decorate the opening of the egg, I glued on some retired Stampin’ Up! ribbon.

This picture is a side view of the Faberge-Styled Easter egg.

This is the key element of the Faberge-Styled Easter Egg, the bunny. To give the bunny an extra “punch”, I glued Stampin’ Up!’s retired Mica Flakes onto its body.

Stampin Up Hearts Collection Framelits Valentine Card

Haven’t you loved using the Stampin Up Hearts Collection Framelits? I have thoroughly enjoyed them and am happy to have them as one of my many tools. Have you enjoyed making your Valentine Cards this season? What is your favorite one that you created? What is your favorite one of mine? I’ve enjoyed making my cards and I believe today’s share is my favorite. It is my last Valentine Card share for this season. I hope you enjoy it!

The shimmery shininess of the beautiful Red Glimmer Paper graces the card as its first layer. The card’s outer edge supports the lovely Stampin’ Up! Pretty in Pink 1/4″ Grosgrain Ribbon that I folded and glued into a ruffle pattern. The Whisper White card stock glistens with the Blushing Bride Smooch Spritz, and the elegant Basic Pearls adds a touch of class to the card.

This following picture is a closeup that provides you with a better view of the layers I created with the Framelits.

The card’s inside is enhanced with a Whisper White scalloped heart made with the largest of the Heart Framelits.

Stampin Up Valentine Cards – Large Paper Doily Die, Trinket Hearts, and Sweet Shop DSP

My friends, the season for Stampin Up Valentine Cards is winding down and I have just a couple more Stampin’ Up! Valentine Cards to share. This Valentine card’s primary features are the Large Paper Doily Die, Trinket Hearts, Adorning Accents Edgelits, and Stampin’ Up! Sweet Shop Designer Series Paper (DSP).

Stampin Up Valentine Cards

The card’s first layer of polka dot paper is from the In Color 2011-2013 Patterns Stack DSP. It’s a perfect background for the polka dot design from the Sweet Shop DSP. I used the new Adorning Accents Edgelits on the top and bottom of the first layer.

Did you notice the Lucky Limeade twine around the heart? It’s actually Stampin’ Up!’s White Baker’s Twine that I dipped in a combination of water and Lucky Limeade from a reinker.

Zentangle Valentine – Stampin’ Up! Hearts Collection Framelits

Today I have for you a Zentangle Valentine that features the Stampin Up Hearts Collection Framelits

What are your favorite colors for Valentine cards?  I don’t have a favorite. Therefore, I am not adverse to using non-traditional colors, as I did for this Zentangle Valentine card.  As you can see, my non-traditional colors are pink and green. I added some zentangle/doodling on the primary piece of the card (e.g., the leaves, circles, etc.).

Key To My Heart Valentine Box Video Tutorial – Hearts Collection Framelits

I have a beautiful item for you today; it is my Key To My Heart Valentine Box. Isn’t it stunning? I recorded a video to instruct you on how to make the Valentine box. It’s my very first video, and being a beginner at developing videos, it’s a little rough, and it took about two weeks to develop. :-(( Regardless, I got it completed and I hope you enjoy it.

Key To My Heart Valentine Box

Some of the key Stampin’ Up! Products I used are the Hearts Collection Framelits, Red and Silver Glimmer Paper, Key and Heart Trinkets, Whisper White and Real Red Cardstock, Basic Gray Satin Ribbon, and the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslits Die.

Regardless of the products I used, the purpose of this post is to provide instructions on making the Key To My Heart Valentine box itself.

Key To My Heart Valentine Box

Did you notice the Love Impressions Designer Series Paper from last year around the box sides? I used My Digital Studio (MDS) and the Love Impressions digital download to print the paper! MDS is a must-have product!

Key To My Heart Valentine Box

I placed inside the box a heart made with White Waffle Paper and a Heart Framelit.

Enjoy the Key To My Heart Valentine Box video, and feedback is welcome!
