Today I am sharing how to make this beautiful Stampin Up More Amore DSP Valentine Purse! I made this for my granddaughter, and I am sure she will be delighted when she receives it on Valentine’s Day!
SUPPLIES USED TO MAKE THE STAMPIN UP MORE AMORE DSP VALENTINE PURSE
Paper:Stampin Up More Amore DSP (129309), Pool Party Card Stock, Primrose Petals Card Ctock, and Certainly Celery Card Stock
Ink: Primrose Petals Classic Ink
Accessories: Hearts Collection Framelits (125599); Big Shot, Platform, and Cutting Plates; Sticky Strip or Adhesive of your choice; Ribbon of your choice, and Brads of your choice
INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAKING THE STAMPIN UP MORE AMORE DSP VALENTINE PURSE
Using the Big Shot and Hearts Collection Framelit (Scalloped), cut out two Pool Party hearts.
Cut out two hearts from the Stampin Up More Amore DSP with the next to the largest heart framelit
Attach the DSP hearts to the Pool Party hearts and add ribbon around the edges of each.
Cut an 8-1/4″ x 2″ piece of Pool Party Card Stock and score it along the 8-1/4″ side at the 1/4″ and 1-1/2″ marks.
Place one end of the card stock between your thumb and index finger and hold it. Now place the card stock between your opposite thumb and index finger and begin to curl the card stock by repeatedly moving your thumb and finger down the 8-1/4″ length of the card stock. This will make the card stock more pliable and it will curl up into a half-circle.
Cut notches along the 1/4″ and 1-1/2″ scored sides of the card stock.
Use the next to the largest heart framelit and trace around it with a pencil on the back side of both heart pieces. Make sure the heart framelit is placed on both hearts at the same spot.
Attach Sticky Strip to each heart along the pencil tracing.
Remove the red liner from the Sticky Strip and begin attaching one side of the 8-1/4″ notched piece of Pool Party Card Stock to one of the hearts. Assure both ends will line up evenly.
Select a DSP design that you want to be the purse liner and trace the outer rim of the next- to-the-largest-heart framelit onto this DSP twice.
Cut out both hearts and insert one into the purse and press it down to adhere it, as shown in the below picture. At this point you may be thinking, “Wouldn’t it have being easier to add this before the purse side piece was added?” Yes, however, the notched portion of the 8-1/4″ piece of card stock would not be covered up if the heart were added first.
Begin attaching the second heart to the first heart by lining it up with the edge of the other notched side of the heart and begin adhering it..
Just as before, Insert the second DSP heart inside and press it down to adhere it. You now have the bottom of the purse made.
Attach to the purse sides a handle made of the ribbon that was used around the front and back of the purse. Use hot glue to attach.
Select two medium to large brads, remove their prongs, and attach to the ends of the ribbon with hot glue. I used two of Stampin Up epoxy brads from long ago.
Valentine’s Day is coming quickly and I have for you today a Valentine Card featuring the Stampin Up You Are Loved stamp set and Hearts Collection Framelits Dies. Hopefully you will enjoy the card and the instructions for how I made this NEW easel card base design. I have not seen it anywhere on the internet.
This view shows the inside of the card.
SUPPLIES USED FOR THIS STAMPIN UP YOU ARE LOVED VALENTINE CARD:
Accessories: Big Shot, Multipurpose Platform, and Cutting Plates(113439); Hearts Collection Framelits Dies (125599), Sycamore Street Pool Party Ribbon (130812), Hearts Adorning Accents Embossing Folder (125601), Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder (117335), Scallop Oval Punch (119856), Extra-Large Oval Punch (119859), and Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter (102023)
INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAKING THE STAMPIN UP YOU ARE LOVED CARD BASE:
Cut a 6-1/4″ x 12″ piece of Real Red Card Stock and score it along the 12″ side at the 3-5/8″ and 7-1/4″ marks.
Align the card stock vertically with the 6-1/4″ side at the top. Using the Big Shot, its multipurpose platform, and one cutting plate, place the card stock onto the cutting plate, and place the largest heart framelit onto the card stock slightly above the 7-1/4″ score line.
Place the second cutting plate onto the framelit and card stock, but place it about 1/16″ below the 7-1/4″ score line. This creates your Big Shot sandwich.
Slowly push the sandwich into the Big Shot to the point that the cutting plates will catch under the roller. Being careful to not move the cutting plates, roll the sandwich into and through the big shot with the point of the heart framelit entering first.
Remove the heart framelit from the card stock and the card stock will look like the picture below.
Turn the card stock heart underneath and cut along the 7-1/4″ fold line on the left and right sides and in the center. Make sure you leave the heart connected to the rest of the card stock.
The front of the card base will look like this after cutting off the pieces.
The Stampin Up You Are Loved stamp set is one of my favorites of all of Stampin Up’s valentine stamps. The stamp set is featured today with the More Amore DSP and Hearts Collection Framelits.

Adhere the DSP to a Real Red card base.
Place the 4-3/16″ Heart Framelit onto a piece of Real Red Card Stock and then the 3-3/8″ Heart Framelit inside of it. Make sure they are lined up evenly and run them and the paper through the Big Shot.
Place the 13/16″ Heart Framelit onto a piece of Real Red Card Stock and run through the Big Shot. Place the heart into the Hearts Adorning Accents Embossing Folder and run through the Big Shot.
Cut a slit on the bottom-right side of one heart and join the other heart through the slit. Adhere them together.

Choose a sentiment and stamp it onto the Pool Party heart.
Adhere both hearts to the back of the joined hearts.
Add dimensionals to the back and adhere to the card front.
I don’t drink coffee or hot chocolate but I love the steaming cup stamp image from the Scentsational Season stamp set (121190). And the snowflake on the cup goes perfectly with a Christmas card featuring snowflakes!
The card’s snowflakes were punched out with a non-Stampin’ Up! punch. I thought it matched so perfectly the snowflake on the stamp image. The miniature snowflakes from the punch outs were used for the steam coming up from the cup.
Also featured on the Christmas card is the “Merry Christmas” stamp image from the Stampin’ Up! Greetings of the Season stamp set. The following are additional pictures of the card.
Supplies (and Stampin’ Up! item numbers) used to make the Scentsational Season Christmas Card:
Stamp Sets: Scentsational Season (121190) and Greetings of the Season (128033)
Paper: Whisper White Card Stock (100730) and Bashful Blue Card Stock (105120)
Ink: Bashful Blue Classic Ink (126961), Soft Suede Stampin’ Write Marker (comes in a group 8 different colors – 119703), and VersaMark Ink or Pen
Accessories: Snow Burst Embossing Folder (retired), Crystal Effects (101055), Heat and Stick Powder (100625), Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter (102023), VersaMark Ink Pad or Pen, Heat Tool, Dimensionals Adhesive (104430) (or other foam adhesive circles), and 3/16″ Corner Punch (119871)
The Scentsational Season Christmas card is very easy to make and you can make it too by following these instructions:
Cut an 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Whisper White Card Stock (or other white card stock) and fold in the center to form a card base.
Cut another piece at 2-1/4″ x 4-1/2″.
Cut two 4″ x 5-1/4″ pieces of Bashful Blue Card Stock.
Using a snowflake punch, cut out three snowflakes on the left side of both Bashful Blue Card Stock pieces.
On one Bashful Blue Card Stock piece, apply VersaMark Ink on the snowflakes and cover them with the Heat and Stick Powder. Heat set.
Cover the snowflakes with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter and heat set.
Slip the right side of this piece into the Snow Burst Embossing Folder and run through a die-cutting machine.
Cover with Bashful Blue Classic Ink the cup image from the Scentsational Season Stamp Set and stamp it onto the lower part of the 2-1/4″ x 4-1/2″ piece of Whisper White Card Stock. **Before stamping the image, remove the ink around the rim and cover with Soft Suede ink (Stampin’ Write Marker).
Apply Crystal Effects and let dry.
After drying, cover with Bashful Blue ink the “Merry Christmas” sentiment from the Greetings of the Season set and stamp onto the card stock (use a Stamp-a-ma-jig for proper placement).
Using foam adhesive circles, adhere onto the Bashful Blue card stock (see picture).
Attach to the Whisper White card front.
Attach the second Bashful Blue snowflake punched piece of card stock to the inside of the card.
Finished!
God’s Blessings!

Enjoy making your Scentsational Season Christmas Card!
How does a new Stampin Up Purse Card Design sound to you? Well, I have one for you. Listening to my readers and customers who have stated they want new card designs, I have created for you a Stampin Up Purse Card Design. This purse card can be made with any color of card stock or designer series paper. My instructions below for making the card describe the card stock and designer series paper that I used.
Also, the purse card has a new flower design for you!
STAMPIN UP SUPPLIES NEEDED FOR THE STAMPIN UP PURSE CARD DESIGN: (if you chose to make the purse card identical to mine):
Stamp Set: Itty Bitty Banners (126257)
Paper: Basic Black Card Stock (121045 – one 8-1/2″ x 11″ and a 4″ x 7″ scrap piece), Cherry Cobbler Card Stock (119685), Very Vanilla Card Stock (101650), and Mocha Morning Designer Series Paper (retired)
Ink: Cherry Cobbler Classic (126966)
Accessories:Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine (113439), Simply Scored Stylus (125624), Sticky Strip (104294), Crystal Effects (101055), Paper Snips (103579), Bigz Clear Large Scallop Square Die (115950), VersaMarker Watercolor Pen (non-SU), Black Embossing Powder (109133), Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder (115964), Heat Gun of your choice, Cherry Cobbler 3-1/2″ Scalloped Tulle Ribbon (127841), Bigz L Perfect Pennants Die (123126), Bitty Banners Framelits (129267), Antique Brad (117273), and Cherry Cobbler Baker’s Twine (123125).
INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAKING THE STAMPIN UP PURSE CARD DESIGN:
If you have difficulty retrieving the template, here’s a picture that you can work from:
CARD BASE
Score the center of an 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of Basic Black Card Stock and fold it.
Place the template over the folded card stock with the fold at the bottom (use a temporary adhesive to prevent the template from moving). Using the Simply Scored Stylus and with pressure, trace the purse from below the handles (at the 5″ mark) to the bottom including the sides.
Remove the template and cut along the traced lines.
CARD HANDLES:
Fold a piece of 4″ x 7″ scrap Basic Black Card Stock and place the handle portion of the template over it with the folded part at the top (you’ll cut out two handles and you don’t want them connected). So you have 1/4″ extra on the ends of the handles to adhere to the purse card base, lay the template about 1/4″ above the bottom of the folded card stock.
Using the Simply Scored Stylus and with pressure, trace around the handle of the template.
Cut out the handles following the traced lines.
Cover one side of the handles with Crystal Effects and let dry.
After drying, cover the other side of the handles with Crystal Effects and let dry.
Attached the handles to the inside of the purse card base with Sticky Strip aftercompleting the following.
CARD EMBELLISHMENTS:
Lay the template onto the Mocha Morning Designer Series Paper (again, this project is organic, so other DSP can be used) and trace the inside lines around the purse card. Cut around the traced lines. Use the cut out for your template to cut a second piece of the Mocha Morning Designer Series Paper. You will have one piece for the front of the purse card and one for the back. Ensure the pieces are about 1/8″ smaller than the purse card base.
Cut 1/4″ off the top of these two pieces.
Using the Bigz Clear Large Scallop Square Die, cut out two Cherry Cobbler large scallops.
Insert each scallop into the Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder and run through the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine.
OPTIONAL:Swipe onescallop with the embossing buddy and, with a VersaMarker Watermarker Pen, carefully apply VersaMark on the raised portions of the scallop. Apply Black Embossing Powder and set with a heat gun. It’s best to do a small section of the raised portions at a time. (This isn’t an easy task and it’s difficult to not get specks of powder where you don’t want it.)
Lay the Mocha Morning Designer Series Paper purse front over back side of the embossed scallop, line it up just below the center of the top embossed flower, and draw a line with a pencil across the scallop. Trace with the pencil about 1″ down the two sides of the purse front. Cut along these penciled lines. Repeat for the purse back.
Trace the purse back DSP piece onto Very Vanilla Card Stock, trace around the piece, and cut it out.
Cover with Cherry Cobbler ink the sentiment “Happy Birthday” from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set onto a piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock.
Use the appropriate Bitty Banners Framelit to cut out the sentiment. Sit to the side.
CARD FLOWER:
CARD ASSEMBLY:
FRONT AND BACK DSP PIECES: Adhere with Sticky Strip the DSP front piece to the front of the card base, placing it 1/4″ down from top card base showing. Repeat for the back side of the card base.
HANDLES: Draw a light pencil line on the left inside of the card base, 1/2″ from the top. Place sticky strip on the card base from the top down to the 1/2″ pencil line, ensuring that the tape is no wider than the bottom of the handle ends. Remove the red liner and adhere the handle to the card base. Erase the pencil line. Repeat this to adhere the other handle to the right inside of the card base.
This picture shows how it should look:
INSIDE CARD: Adhere the Very Vanilla Card Stock inside the card on the right side, placing it over the handle.
At this point the card will look like this:
OUTSIDE CARD EMBELLISHMENTS:
Punch a hole at the top of the “happy birthday” sentiment.
Thread a piece of Cherry Cobbler Baker’s Twine throw the hole.
Wrap the twine around the prongs of the antique brad that was used for the tulle ribbon flower.
Punch a hole 1-1/2″ down from the top center of the Cherry Cobbler Black Embossed Large Scallop piece.
Insert the brad that is holding the tulle ribbon flower and baker’s twine into the hole and spread the prongs.
Attach this to the top of the card front. (You may want to use a glue dot to attach the end of the sentiment to the card front.)
Attach the second Cherry Cobbler Embossed Large Scallop piece to the back side of the card.
If you followed these instructions and made the card, you now have a beautiful Stampin Up Purse Card that is worthy of a very special recipient!

When I saw theStampin Up Christmas Blessings Stamp Setin the new annual catalog, I knew I had to have it (as well as many other new sets). Well, I’m embarrassed to admit that I got caught up with creating with other stamp sets and…..forgot I have this one! I’m quite sure it’s called “Old Age” or maybe “Chemo Brain”!
Regardless, today’s post focuses on the Stampin Up Christmas Blessings stamp set. I decided that I wanted pink poinsettias, therefore, I created them. I love how the card pops with the Glimmer Paper and Gold Cord!
Supplies used to create this Stampin Up Christmas Blessings card:
Paper: Watercolor Paper (122959), Champagne Glimmer Paper (127885), and Raspberry Ripple Card Stock (126842)
Ink: Melon Mambo Classic Ink (126948), Melon Mambo Stampin Write Marker (119702), and Blender Pen (102845)
Accessories: Gold Elastic Cord (can pick up at a craft store or, if you’re lucky, you’ll have some of Stampin Up’s retired cord), Paper Snips (103579), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430) or Foam Adhesive, Sticky Strip (104294) or other strong adhesive, and Stamping Sponges (101610)
Instructions for creating this Stampin Up Christmas Blessings card:
Cut a 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ piece of Stampin Up Watercolor Paper.
Cover with Black StazOn Ink the poinsettias stamp from the Christmas Blessings stamp set.
Stamp the image on the piece of Watercolor Paper.
Using a Melon Mambo Stampin Write Marker and a Blender Pen, color the poinsettias.
When coloring the poinsettias, think of each petal as being in thirds.
The bottom of a petal is 1/3 of the petal and is near the stamen.
The next 1/3 is the middle of the petal, and the next at the top.
The bottom 1/3 is darker than the middle 1/3.
The middle 1/3 is lighter than the bottom 1/3, but darker than the top 1/3.
The top 1/3 is lighter than the middle 1/3.
Using the Melon Mambo marker (brush end), color in the bottom of the petal.
Swipe the Blender Pen’s brush end back and forth on scrap paper until there is no ink spreading on the paper.
Using the clean Blender Pen, color the middle 1/3 of the petal by picking up some of the Melon Mambo ink at the very edge of where the bottom and middle thirds meet.
Swipe the Blender Pen’s brush end back and forth on scrap paper until there is no ink spreading on the paper.
Using the clean Blender Pen, pull color from the middle 1/3 to color the top 1/3 of the petal.
Repeat until all petals are colored.
Using the marker, slightly darken the portions of each petal that the natural light would not hit.
OPTIONAL:
Except for the size of the Watercolor Paper, repeat all of the above to provide a second layer of poinsettias. The paper size should be small enough for the poinsettias image to just fit.
Cut out the second set of poinsettias, attach dimensionals, and adhere on top of the first poinsettias.
Stamp the sentiment, “Sending Christmas Blessings To You”, at the bottom of the Water Color Paper (see picture).
Sponge Melon Mambo Classic Ink around the edge of the Watercolor Paper.
Snip the corners (see picture) and wrap the Gold Elastic Cord around the Watercolor Paper and adhere it to the back side of the paper.
Cut a 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of Champagne Glimmer Paper and adhere to it the Watercolor Paper.
Cut an 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Raspberry Ripple Card Stock and fold it in the center for the card base.
Attach the decorated Watercolor Paper and Glimmer Paper to the Raspberry Ripple card base.
Finished! Enjoy!
God’s Blessings!
