Heartfelt Creations Sweetheart Borders Valentine
Welcome, and happy Wednesday!! My card share today is a Heartfelt Creations Sweetheart Borders Valentine! Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching, and I need to get cards made. This valentine is in non-traditional colors because it is my submission to Splitcoaststampers.com color challenge for this week.
The color combination for the challenge is Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy, Lemon Lime Twist, and Powder Pink. Stef (aka – dahlia 19) was the color challenge hostess, and I was so happy to see that she selected navy; a color not selected often, if at all.

Apostle Paul said:

Because I do not have all the colors included in the challenge, I substituted Pink Pirouette for Powder Pink, and Pear Pizzazz for Lemon Lime Twist. To create the card, I folded a piece of navy card stock in half and used a die from the Heartfelt Creations Sweetheart Borders Dies (i.e., Die #1 in below photo) to die cut the card base in the shape of the die. This creates a bottom fold card base.
Then I used Die #2 to cut the pink flourish piece (see below photo) that fits just inside of the edges of the card base. The pink paper I used is from one of my favorite Specialty Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up! – the Love Impressions Specialty Series Paper. I love this paper so much that I stocked up on it when it was released. I look forward to this time of the year so I can use it. I will soon run out! 🙁
I used the Heartfelt Creations Eyelet Hearts Dies to create the green heart and stamped the love sentiment from the January 2018 Hero Arts My Monthly Hero Arts Kit. To finish the card, I die cut, formed, and attached the three flowers.
